All my dreams are just plain black voids. Well, accept for an occasional talk with asriel.
(I know it's a bit late to say so, but from a page I read this basically wasn't a proper Lucid Dream.Lucid dreaming? Yeah, the dreams where you know you're dreaming? Pretty sure I had one of those last night, even if I only realised half way through the dream.
I've been considering Lucid Dreaming for a few days. What's funny is that I only started doing reality checks and stuff like that late 2 days ago.
I hear writing down your dreams and sharing things here are useful, so this is what I remember:
That was wierdly cool.At the start of the dream, it seemed I was playing some kind of multiplayer game over the Internet. What a surprise, I was playing it with the members of TCF I interact the most with... that being @ShadowPulse69 @Vinnoe and @Myu . It played kind of similarly to Super Mario 64, but we were allowed to change who we were to anything ever. We started in a room at the top of a castle, and apparently instead of jumping through magic paintings we jump through magic stained-glass window in the same room. I don't remember much about level 1, but level 2 (which we got to by going into the same window after completing level 1) was split into rooms. In the fourth room was the boss, which we defeated, and we were magically teleported to level 3 without the window. There were a few things happening over the chat, but nothing major.
Then, I somehow ended up in my room without my computer or anything. I decided to go downstairs, with the house surprisingly empty. I found my computer on the sofa, and my internet browser was open to an empty page. When I moved my mouse, Minecraft opened for some reason, although it instantly just became an error with a load of useless text that seemed like someone had just typed random things on the keyboard. It also came accompanied with a sound that was an awful lot like my alarm's sound (which I had waken up before it went off for a few days now). It made me think I was going to wake up, which then brought me to the fact this could be a dream, and the alarm noise ended. Nothing happened.
So then, from that, I decided to do a Reality Check. A good, long stare at what my hand should be brought nothing, so I decided to try making a finger go through it. It took a little pushing onwards, and it felt really strange (as in, yes, my hand felt something going through it) but yes, it worked. Something about this just clicked, and I knew. I didn't try anything funny, I didn't run around like a chicken with it's head cut off screaming about things, I just kinda knew. So then I went upstairs, my mother tried to talk to me about something I don't remember, and in the middle of it I just said "I'm dreaming right now" and my mother just said OK like it was nothing. The dream ended not long after that.
This is the most amazing thing ever, it is going in my signature. Right now.hardcore unbelievable hard work on sleeping.
is there a way to dream more?
We actually "dream" several times a night, however most of the time it won't be remembered.Sleep more I guess?
The main problem is to remember your dreams, FYI
And its always accompanied by a sort of vague falling feeling, as if im slowly falling into a nothing. All my dreams are just plain black voids.
That's basically what I was hinting at but didn't write because I'm lazy, but yeah exactly that.We actually "dream" several times a night, however most of the time it won't be remembered.
The point with this is you need some more dream recall to remember them.
Can't really be bothered to state helps things ATM because I have to go somewhere though. Might edit this post later with cool stuffs.
...I'm going to metaphor this. What you describe as the WILD method, @Gmayor61 , is basically how i go to sleep normally every night???
To explain, i've mayor problems with falling asleep so i just keep my mind busy with random stuff (usually music) until im relaxed enough.
Im kind of surprised thats supposedly the way to start lucid dreams... but all i ever get is this:
And its always accompanied by a sort of vague falling feeling, as if im slowly falling into a nothing.
So what am i doing wrong (or right appartently?)
The only exception to this is from many years ago, when i was a lil kid still and that one was a reccuring "nightmare" where i had to solve some kind of puzzle to escape something.
...I'm going to metaphor this.
You take a key, you open a door and you go inside. It's completely dark.
All you have to do is look for the light switch.
...Well, that's almost literally what's going on. You're already dreaming by the point that you reach the falling feeling. At that point it's up to you how to leave the void, you'll have to figure out a way that feels sensible to you to get to a new place or make it appear.
That's part of hypnagogia, part of the pre-dream hallucinations. A nice little rule; when you feel like you're going crazy, you're probably on the right tract towards dreams.would trying to go to sleep and hearing some weird voice in my head that's not mine point toward lucid dreaming? or am i going crazy? or both?
The method you're using is WILD, incidentally that happens to be one of the "strongest" ways to get into a dream due to the circumstance that you're almost fully lucid when you begin dreaming. When people drop into lucid dreams, it's a common problem that sometimes you can't tell it apart from real life due to your senses sharpening to IRL levels.Huh, okay? I guess ill try it out tonight. First a floor so i stop falling ;w;. Then maybe a door.
Oh yeah, is it possible to have "no dreams at all" due lucid dreaming? I mean, these voids dont really feel like a dream at all, just, well, nothing. So if you're dreaming nothing, is it a dream?
