Other Lunar Apocalypse. Change overworld music when lunar event is happening.

The sense of impending doom while the lunar apocalypse event is happening is easily broken when the player listens to the calm musics that plays on the field, when not near a tower area.

The game could have a music that plays when the lunar apocalypse is happening, and the player is on the surface, but not near the towers.
That will surelly add more to the apocalyptic climax of the event.

Not sure about this one. Approaching a Celestial Pillar and having the music change from calm Overworld music to the Celestial Pillar theme induces a bit of foreboding. Remember that the event is marked as "Celestial creatures are invading!". In all invasion events, the music only changes when in proximity of the invasion. There isn't really an indication the event is supposed to be apocalyptic.

"Impending doom approaches..." occurs after the Celestial invasion and (if memory serves correctly) mutes the music until Moon Lord appears.

One of the ways the event is known as is the "Lunar Apocalypse", or at least says the game files, based on the Wiki.
The fact that the event is running and there are towers in the world, but the normal overworld music is playing even though the event is happening, is really exquisite. I know that because on a world I have at least one tower up, and the normal overworld music playing while doing my things are really breaking the climax.

Also, the music of when you get near the pillar is really good, but there could have a sinister/grim music that could play when the event is up, the player is on the overworld, but isn't near a tower. For example, take the overworld music from FFVII, when the meteor is coming to Midgar, that music is grim because of the "impending destruction" coming, but when you are playing, you not necessarily isn't charging to face the final boss, due to side quests and stuff.
