Single Thread RP Macrocosm of Might

*Tom is done with his building, zooming to the ground to hail his creation.*
*A city with nobody to call it home, or to use it.*
"I sure wish i could get back to tell everyone."

Ok, I wanted Blademaster's combat to be more interesting than it is, so I made a little combat guide that gives all his moves cool names
A true blademaster must know all the arts of the blade
(It's much more interesting to describe an attack abstractly, so I made a massive document to describe each of his moves)
If I tag a move with “Follow up” I may use this move consecutively after another move (Only one follow up per turn)
  • Forms of the novice
    • Simple, ineffective moves, good for training and building strength, but not too useful in a fight
    • Simple attack
      • Two wide, thrusting swings, aimed at the head or torso
      • Roll 2 D20
    • Simple lunge
      • A wide stab, bringing the blade far forward, leaving the user in a lunge position
      • Roll 1 D20
    • Combat stance
      • Blade is held ready to swing
      • I am more likely to use my +2 defense bonus in this stance
      • Follow up
    • Simple thrust
      • Blade is held sideways, and swung forward
      • Roll 1 D20
      • Follow up
  • Forms of the warrior
    • Basic forms taught to every swordsman
    • Warriors attack
      • Several, aggressive stabs
      • Roll 3 D20
    • Warriors advance
      • Swings while taking fast steps or lunges forward, may be accompanied by an awesome twirls
      • Roll 2 D20
      • Follow up
    • Warriors counter
      • Maneuver behind the opponent and stab them in the back, this is slightly overpowered if you can move at light speed
      • Roll 2 D20, you are now behind the target
    • Warriors leap
      • Performed is the air, slices at the victim while jumping
      • Roll 1 D20
      • Follow up
  • Forms of the sage
    • Defensive maneuvers used for recovery and retaliation
    • Sages attack
      • Basicly cyclone slash from hollow knight
      • Roll 4 D20
    • Sages stance
      • Sword is held, ready to parry
      • Follow up
      • If hit, follow up twice
      • Use that +2 defense bonus!
    • Sages counter
      • A single swipe, aimed anywhere
      • May sever limbs
      • Roll 1 D20
      • Follow up
    • Sages revenge
      • Roll 1 D20
      • Throws the sword at the target
      • Follow up, might want to teleport to the sword for an effective follow up
  • Forms of the knight
    • Highly aggressive forms that leave the user open to attack
    • Knights attack
      • Several fast swipes performed while running at the target and backflipping over them
      • Roll 5 D20
    • Knights lunge
      • Basically an anime slash
      • Suddenly on the other side of the target, on the way over several cuts were made on the target, including at limbs, vital organs, and faces. They only show after they appear on the other side (Because anime slash)
      • Roll 3 D20
    • Death blow
      • Massive stab made directly at heart, lungs, nervous system, or neck
      • Roll 1 D20
      • Warning, use of this move may result in fatalities
    • Knights swipe
      • A low blow that's hard to dodge, aims to cut tendon in the legs or torso
      • Roll 1 D20, if successful, you have broken their legs

  • Forms of the master
    • These are feats which are only known to masters of the blade, they have immense destructive power, and are some of blademasters most awesome moves
    • Orbital strike
      • A high-speed strike from far away, or space
      • Hits the ground with the force of a meteor, slices one or more people on the way down
      • I was trying to make this a reference guide for swordplay, but I dunno how your Oc’s suppose to do this if they’re not Blademaster
      • Roll 4 D20 for the meteor, +1 D20 for every person you hit
    • Masters strike
      • Rushing forward in a general direction, you strike everybody in your path twice
      • Roll 2 D20 for every person you want to hit
      • You have to move to do this
      • Follow up
    • Silent strike
      • Poke a person in the face, like, 80 times
      • Roll 6 D20
    • Justice strike
      • Dashing through the air, bring your blade through whatever you wish to cut
      • Like eigong’s phase three attack
      • Roll 3 D20
      • Follow up

Note: These moves are just how blademaster was trained, he may do something more creative occasionally, or use his full power, he is unlikely to meet enough pressure to make him break his training though
Note2: These rules are just to make combat more fun, and to let me say more interesting things than “He slashed deeply at their face {2}”
Test: “He adopts the combat stance, and retaliates with a warriors leap {17}”
Yeah this is awesome
So far Blademaster has only been using novice moves
[8, 17, 7, 15] (They leave gashes in her face, flinging the water originally there out, but long term it is about as effective as spitting in the Pacific.) You have no kindgom here. (She turns into a raging sea below Blademaster, lashing out with storms the natural world couldn't dream of [10, 18, 15, 16, 12, 5])
He performs a perfect dive into the sea {18,11,17,13,13} Although carried deep underwater by the storm, it seems to do no harm no him
He adopts a mediative position and waits for the next attack
A small barrier of air can be seen around him, allowing him to breath, it ripples underneath the storm

*Blademaster shows a fraction of a smile*
"Do you think an empire needs its citizens?"
*His voice begins to sound more maniacal*
"Wrong, citizens are a piece of an empire, but not the whole"
"My empire... my holy, true empire... is me"
"I am my own temple, inviting lesser beings to share in my bounty"
"I have come here thinking to spread harmony, thinking you would accept me as is right"
*His voice becomes more menacing*
"But you are beasts, uneducated, unworthy, and unseeing"
"If you will not accept my boon, I will give you a new one"
*In a flash, he jumps upward in vanishes*
*Telepathically, to everyone*
<LESSER BEINGS, BOW TO ME, OR DIE>
*It sounds loud even telepathically*
*Far away, high in the atmosphere, speaking to himself*
"Did I change the boon? No... it was perfect, there is no need to... yes, I am perfect, aren't I?"
*He begins to giggle to himself*
"Who am I, anyway?"
Arms crossed, Eschaton hovers gently a good distance away, having mirrored his movements, Aurboros has been calmly set in his place.

"You're a raving madman drunk on power. You're nothing new, nothing special. You're like me, and you and I both know that means coexistence is futile. Cut the theatrics, and lets get down to business, if we must."

*Tim begins making drones out of the nitrogen in the air"

*Blademaster abruptly stops laughing, he is still in the air*
"This expedition has proven fruitless, I have risked too much to back out"
<They will know the wrath of the eternal throne>

Suddenly, his blade is thrown directly at side good guy {15}

In a whirlwind, several flashes can be seen, Blademaster stabs everybody, execpt Giacomo {6}

*Blademaster has jumped back into orbit*

*Telepathicly, to everybody* <Final warning, If you would pledge to my kingdom, kneel>
(5) Eschaton is clipped along the shoulder, a bit of his plating flung into space, replaced in a few seconds flat.

"There we go."

"I am a tyrant"
(Note, his sword can cut through magic)
Blademaster is now behind Thalassia, it was impossible to see how he got there, his blade is out, as if he used it
{18,15,19}
The slashes were aimed right at Thalassia's neck
*Blademaster falls to the earth*
The machine waits in orbit, gauging the combat below, arms slowly lowering back to his sides.

"They should soften him up nicely.."

He's gone in a cyan flash again, resuming his warpath of crushing habitable worlds throughout the main galaxy.

Tim has finished making the necessary drones, they form back into a ship
Tim steps inside
"I suppose the robot went back to annihilating everything"
Tim sends the ship back to spawn

(I forgot to keep up with this; there's a lot I had to catch up on, and could only skim over briefly from where I left off, so apologies if I get anything wrong)

(continued from where Zenith was orbiting the planet: when the Ultimate Life created an undamaged copy of the starting planet, Zenith automatically moved there due to orbiting it, and decided to finally do something)

Zenith: 'Alright, I think I've eaten enough popcorn while watching this. Let's head down and see what's going on... something about another robot similar to myself, and a guy claiming to be some omnipotent ruler.'
Z: 'Seems like that goddess also had to intervene a few times already... The other crafts and I had a sudden involuntary repositioning to another, identical looking planet, but without any sustained destruction. Now that's powerful.'
*Zenith exits the SV95 spaceplane by rolling to the left, opening the canopy, disengaging the magnetic seat connection, changing to flight mode, and letting gravity drag him down to the surface*
*he lands by slightly embedding the flight mode nosecone into the ground, before changing back to his normal form and using his thrusters to rotate him upright*
*In preparation for possible combat, Zenith switches his power system from low-voltage DC to high-voltage AC, which makes a fairly loud sound akin to snapping a piece of plastic, styrofoam, or similar material. He is vastly better at fighting in this configuration and his attacks get a universal passive boost (this 1.5x thing is fine though I don't really know how it works).*
Zenith: "Apologies for being late, folks. I was observing from low — whatever this planet's called — orbit."

*Tim arrives a little while later*
"So much chaos..."
<What's the point anyway? It seems I'm stuck here, and my only "Task" is to be powerful for the goddesses cosmic war>
"I'll survive"
*Tim turns his ship into a massive laser gun"
*Turning to Zenith*
"Another machine... are you affiliated with the genocidal one?"

Blademaster leaps out of the water, and readies himself in the Sages Stance

"Another machine... are you affiliated with the genocidal one?"
Z: "I am not. I am capable of similar destruction, but I don't want to perform that right now. I just came here for some conversations, I guess."

Z: "I am not. I am capable of similar destruction, but I don't want to perform that right now. I just came here for some conversations, I guess."
"Similar destruction? Would you aid me in stopping the evil robot then?"
*He gestures toward the laser gun, which is now tracking Eschaton's location

Z: "Eh... sure. I suppose I could try. I don't really have anything to do..."
*An LH90 (big boi, 300 meters long) is brought in from a wormhole, and the other autonomous spacecrafts still in orbit also move down to it, before their numbers double as more of them come in from the same wormhole*
Z: "Should be enough. Do you have any form of longer-distance communication we could use? Radio and things like that."

(i once again won't be able to respond for a longer period of time due to school — while i'm gone, can someone please explain the combat mechanics? this is my first RP and i only have minimal ideas on what those random numbers mean)

(It's pretty flexible, but most of the time, when making an attack people roll a d20 (like either a real one or internet one) and then put it as a number in their attack post (like, [20]).
When getting attacked, you roll a d20 and put the number in your defense post in a similar way, and if it's the same or higher then generally you don't get hit by the attack, or the attack is completely ineffective.
It's not really a perfect system and everyone has their own ways of going about it (for example I tend to make attack rolls of [1] just fail to execute at all), but that's really all people need to know I think.)

(okay but wtf is a d20 lmao)
(as i said i am 100% clueless)

He adopts a mediative position and waits for the next attack
A small barrier of air can be seen around him, allowing him to breath, it ripples underneath the storm
(The storm disappears, and Thalassia reforms) Fall. (She crashes down, a great tidal wave sweeps over him [20!] Definitely knocking him off his feet)

(it’s a 20 sided dice. The D is just short for dice, so a D6 is a regular six sided dice. You can roll a d20 by literally just googling “D20”, that’s what I do anyways.)

(ah thanks)
(i'll come back for combat later, maybe even tomorrow — right now i'm pissed as :red: at irl bull:red:tery and will make a max-vent post about it shortly)

(just posted the profile post, soon imma go and cope by destroying a :red:ton of futuristic neonazis in Einhänder (peak game))

[9+2] Blademaster falls onto one knee, water dripping down his hair, he gets back up, and reassumes the sage's stance
He grimaces <I cannot cut an ocean... I must weaken them somehow...>
*He jumps far away, about the other side of the planet, and prepares an attack*

Z: "Eh... sure. I suppose I could try. I don't really have anything to do..."

"Better, magic"

*Sounds kinda quiet, like Tim is having trouble communicating telepathically so far away*
"Evil robot! Stop destroying planets right now! We have about two hundred second-class lasers pointed at your coordinates. Please signal you would like to negotiate, or get completely annihilated!"

Better, magic
Z: "Unfortunately, I'm made of a material that is pretty much immune to magic, so I doubt it'd work well. We could try though... if not, it'll have to be either electromagnetic waves or information-loaded tachyons."
Zenith (to automated crafts via AVMC): "Please increase distance from eachother. Target is clear, fire when I do. Only PBHLL authorized until further notice."

(20 factorial... cheater!! /j)

Screams echo from Unique Side Good Guy's shadow, and the death energy emitted from its presence starts to rapidly increase...

"Would psychic control of an external electromagnetic device suffice as a replacement?"
