Ok so just bought the lantern from the Skel Merchant, moved it to the pet slot, it worked fine. Decided I didn't want the lantern hanging over my head all the time so took it out and put it into a chest. Problem: the lantern is still hanging over my head and is working as if I still had it in my inventory. Restarted Terraria, still there. Tried putting into hotbar, worked fine but still couldn't get rid of it even when moving out of my inventory. Using 1.3.5.3, Steam version, on a PC. All the forum seems to be the opposite issue up till now. Sorry if this is a dup.
