Ultimately suggesting this to assist new players in figuring out what exactly an item does. As it stands, certain descriptions aren't very clear, with the most important examples being boss summons that have additional spawn requirements, and materials the Guide can mention before they become obtainable (notably Hardmode materials that can be combined with Pre-Hardmode items)

For some examples:

Crafting materials (Anything that currently has the "Material" tag)

• Current: Material
• Updated: Material. Show it to the Guide to learn what it can make.
• I'd say to make "Material" animated so it pops out more. This also helps direct players to the Guide's crafting option, which itself could use more clarity.

Silt/Slush/Desert Fossil/Old Shoe/Seaweed/Tin Can:

• Current: None
• Updated: Place in an Extractinator to extract its contents.
• Extractinator currently mentions this functionality for the blocks, but not for fishing junk.

Bone:

• Current: None
• Updated: The remains of those inflicted with the Dungeon's curse.
• Establishes a distinction between normal skeletons and dungeon skeletons, and clarifies only Dungeon Skeletons drop them.

Souls of Light/Night:

• Current: 'The essence of [light/dark] creatures'
• Updated:

• Guide Voodoo Doll not mentioning the boss summon seems intentional, so this hints at the lava connection without outright saying it. Also more clearly connects it to the Nurse's dialogue about lava burns.

Of course, with how many items this game has, an exhaustive list wouldn't be feasible. The main point is just that summon requirements should be specified in summon item tooltips, and progression-locked items should have tooltips specifying that they aren't accessible yet, with a hint at where to unlock them, like what Biome Keys currently have.
