Game Mechanics Make high tier rocket launchers destroy hardmode ores

I feel like the game should be able to detect that I am using post plantera rockets with a post moonlord rocket launcher and just destroy the cobalt with it. It really almost doubles the amount of time it takes to mine a big area underground when my mini nukes loaded into a celebration mk2 don't destroy the ores. There is no reason for them not to when I can pull out my pre-hardmode pickaxe and destroy the ore anyways.
