Game Mechanics Make spears throwable + new spear and buff

Currently, spears are a bad and outclassed type of melee weapon. To fix this problem, and add more versatility to the spears, all spears should become throwable with a right click attack. This would function almost identically to how the new phaseblades can be thrown.
In addition to this, there should also be more spears added to the areas of the game that do not have one. For example, the corruption does not get a craftable alternative for the rotted fork spear, but the crimson does get one for the ball of hurt. A suggestion for the spear:
  • Vile Pike
  • Damage: 20
  • Knockback: 4
  • Usetime: 26
  • Velocity: 4
  • Causes Vilethorns to be thrown out of the spear, lingering in the air, dealing 10 damage in rapid succession for 1 second and ignoring 5 enemy defense
The obsidian swordfish is currently a very bad weapon. It does decent damage, but is very hard to use because of the short range. The fact that it has to be fished up makes it even worse, because it is not much of a reward after going through the hassle to fish it for so long. The fact that it would be throwable is already a good buff, but the main attack would still be useless.
The obsidian swordfish should be about 2 times longer, to be about at the same length as the hardmode ore spears. This would make the main attack viable in more situations.
Additionally, the obdidian swordfish should also inflict the hellfire debuff. This would make it even better, and it would fit with the fact that you fished it up from lava. Though, this bonus would probably make it a bit too good, so the base critical strike chance could get reduced to compensate.

waiti like the idea of a vile thorn spear i also made a corruption spear maybe this one can be combined with the vile thorn and this corruption spear to make the vile pike

Personally, I would make the throwing a left click attack and stabbing a right click attack. Thats much more fun.
 
waiti like the idea of a vile thorn spear i also made a corruption spear maybe this one can be combined with the vile thorn and this corruption spear to make the vile pike

The ball of hurt already drops from shadow orbs, so the corruption spear should be crafted with shadow scales and demonite bars.

That would be a great idea! It would also differentiate it more from the other throwable melee weapons
 
now that i think about it so should the stab so you can either do a bunch of quick jabs or a power jab by holding or spamming
