The Shellphone elegantly switches between locations by right-clicking it while having it held. I propose being able to toggle the different powers of the Peaceful Coexistence book in the same way - have it go between both powers, critters only, plants only, none. It is counterintuitive that its better to carry both books separately if you want to control which one of the 2 is active at the moment.

Alternatively it can work similar to the Grand Design's wire colors, where you can open the menu and select the powers you want. This would also let it be expanded to cover more books, like the Guide to Plant Fiber Cordage.

Grand Design was difficult to code and a bit over complicated for this, so I think this one is the way to go.

This would be much more convenient imo. It would also be good if we could toggle the books whilst their in the void bag, as it's a bit of a pain having to take them out to toggle them every time.

Grand design's ui is also slower and less convenient to use than right click mode-switching items imo. It only works well for grand design because there's 6 different toggle settings involved which wouldn't be feasible to make a mode switching item for.
