Switch Mana flower not working

Do you mean that your Mana flower is not allowing you to automatically consume Mana potions?
If that is the case, did you still have Mana potions in your inventory when this happened?

the Mana flower only heals if you are using the restoration potions, as they heal Mana it is a great way to get a auto healing boost for Early-Mid game bosses some times even late game bosses however at that point a proper set up arena with heart statues and all that is better.
as for auto healing in the likes of band of regen/myths there healing is good tho the regen is slow from them even when stacking with Camp fires and Heart lanterns this regen effect will still not be enough to make healing faster then damage taken.
Also do take note there is a 60s cool down timer before you can drink/eat another Healing potion/mushroom/fish/honey (some items like band of myths can reduce this, or regeneration potions have a naturally smaller cool down)
that is all that I can think of at this moment,
