Xbox Series S/X Map data reset

I have about 17 worlds and 21 characters which I don’t believe is over the world limit but when I either play single player or multiplayer in another persons world my map data is reset. Don’t know why it happens or what could cause this apart from maybe too much map data saved from old worlds that have been deleted or something but yeah it’s very inconvenient when you explore the map then boom gone.
If anyone knows a fix or if this is just a problem I’m having and anything I can do for it that would be very much appreciated or if in the 1.4.4 update they are fixing this.
 
Yes I have the same problem but I have 3 characters and 3 worlds even when I play solo I see that my map is blacked out once again I’m on the Xbox one
 
I, too, have experienced this recently. It seemed to happen after I joined an online game on another player's world. Wish they just made an item to clear the map fog.
