I still think the ankh shield is pretty sucky, and the debuffs are pretty easy to avoid outside of the examples I mentioned, but that's my opinion.

yeah that's a totally fair opinion to have, i had a point in time where i didn't use any of the shields since i just wanted to be a full send minmaxing dps lord and i thought ankh shield was "overrated" but then i was like "you know knockback immunity is kinda nice actually" so i went back to it

moving back to running ankh shield very much coincides with it getting the chilled and stoned immunities, though

Do you switch to the frozen shield during boss fights or invasions without any debuffs?

i do not shift to frozen shield ever because i do not farm for either of its core components unless i am explicitly multiplayer tanking. i will often end up treating paladin shields like extra gold otherwise

I kind of disagree, a lot of accessories are usually straight up better than others( at least in typical playthroughs). Hermes boots are worse than rocket

oh yeah nah there are a lot of accessories that straight up just barely have a use case, but hermes boots can't be compared to rocket boots since they do different things and are component ingredients for the spectre boots. a fairer comparison would be hermes vs dunerider in which case dunerider wins

flippers are worse than boc/ws

incomparable, flippers are theoretically used for navigation of big lakes if you find them early enough. i think they should at least have proper flipper potion effect and not just let you swim though, they'd probably be respected more (and people would maybe be a little less mean to diving gear)

You can like things because of personal preference, but that doesn't mean you are nessecarily correct.

yeah like i don't use brain of confusion/worm scarf/shield of chalupa lol, i'm not about to tell people what is or isn't good or what you should or shouldn't use. i just think after a certain skill level you kinda just send it and start swinging a pearlwood sword at stuff because if you only ever use the 'best' options you miss out on some fun ones

What is your opinion about every weapon from Empress of Light?

i share a lot of opinions with the 1.4.4.9 weapon tier list but i think the choice between what you use between duke fishron, empress of light, moon, and pillar weapons is up to player preference since they're all on similar tiers.

as for my individual opinions,

starlight

using this thing and not dying is the kind of adrenaline rush i live for. i wish it had like one less frame between hits, though.

honestly probably my favorite weapon. i am very guilty of doing nothing but endless quiver spam after getting this thing, forsaking traditionally better arrows just to become a beam spam entity.

i have not made phantasm nor looked for tsunami since this thing has released.

nightglow
after the buffs, i like this thing more than razorblade typhoon.
it's not necessarily better, but i have more fun using it.

stellar tune
pretty fun but its tracking feels a little inconsistent, usually not worth going out of your way to get (i think 2% and 5% are both kinda joke rates) but it puts in a lot of work against the celestial pillars if you wall yourself in or are dealing with the underground ones in a getfixedboi world.

make nebula weapons if you got it but didn't get nightglow somehow and don't feel like farming more lacewings.

kaleidoscope
if you whip stack, it's always dark harvest and either this or morning star. you can honestly live without it if you don't get it in a couple of kills since morning star technically mobs better and there's a lot of mobbing content between when you can fight this boss and moon lord, and you're not using whips on moon lord anyway.. but this thing is the justification for using tiki armor to begin with.

very cool item. flying swords are cool. sword wings are cool. terraprisma is cool. dyes very well with strange dyes.
this thing is my current alliance name/icon in pso2.

it's obviously good if you can get it consistently, but ufos and stardust dragon exist otherwise.
you don't even use this on the moon lord unless you're using the defensive tavernkeep armor, so outside of a bragging rights reward you really can just ignore it.
as someone who goes for pre-golem terraprisma these days, pre-golem terraprisma is a forced meme.

Outside of Stardust Dragon and Vortex Beater, I don't really make them these days since I don't like using them that much.

I only make Vortex Beater because Chain Gun's base damage of 31 is a much smaller number than Vortex Beater's 50, and I only make Stardust Dragon Staff because it has more range for Moon Lord kiting.

Last Legendary run, though, I didn't even bother making a Stardust Dragon. I just stacked defense with Valhalla Knight and stayed closer to the boss.
