Mille Marteaux
Empress of Light
So I guess I made more of these so this is now a megathread.
The Mille Localization pack
I wanted to change my death messages, so I made a localization pack. I ended up changing more than my death messages.
Now that my most recent Legendary run is finished, I'm releasing it. You can find it here: Steam Workshop::Mille's localization pack
Cliffnotes:
- most death messages are new. in general, they are much more lighthearted
-- there are still a few that are outright violent though
-- a few vanilla death messages i liked are still in, same with ones i rarely saw
- title bar text is changed, most of these are just silly references
- specific enemy and event names
- boss spawn/defeat messages
- some progression-based system messages
-- notably, all three mechanical bosses now share the same spawn warning
- strange dye tradein only has one quote now, so there's no variance where the button to click to turn in another plant is

Transparent Stardust Guardian
I know there are packs to hide the Guardian entirely, but I wanted to make it transparent so I wouldn't be as "startled" by it appearing and dealing damage as I have object permanence issues sometimes.
It responds to dyes differently now as a fun side effect, and I kind of like it more this way.

A video of the Guardian in action, as well as some examples of how it responds to dyes, can be seen here:
Transparent Solar Blaze
Same as the Stardust Guardian mod, but for the Solar Flare Armor's Solar Blaze effect instead.
Note that the transparency level is higher, so most dyes make the effect nearly invisible.

Transparent Rainbow Crystal Staff
Makes the beams fired by the Rainbow Crystal Staff transparent to reduce screen clutter. Does not affect the explosion graphics, and you will need to add Transparent Rainbow Dust for that.

Transparent Rainbow Dust
Companion pack for Transparent Rainbow Crystal Staff. Comes as a second pack due to affecting the Dust file as a whole as well as affecting Kaleidoscope.
If you'd like to know what the Rainbow Crystal Staff looks like if you only make the Dust transparent without the beams as well, here you go:

Transparent Lunar Portal Staff Beam
Makes the beams fired by the Lunar Portal Staff transparent to reduce screen clutter, especially if using it against the Moon Lord.

Quiet Sound Pack
A pack to lower the overall volume of certain sounds that are much louder than sounds around them. This does not cover the entire game, and may not be enough entirely on its own, but it brings some overly loud things closer in line with other sounds. You may find it here: QuietSoundPack
However, this is not a resource pack, and must be installed manually. You will need to navigate to your Terraria installation (such as Program Files/Steam/steamapps/Common/Terraria/Content) and take the sounds from the pack you wish to use, then drop them into the "Sounds" folder. This will overwrite existing Terraria files, so I recommend making a second copy of the folder as a backup as you will otherwise need to re-download Terraria to get the old sounds back.
Sounds included:
Clown laughter
Explosive Trap, Ballista, Flameburst projectiles, as well as just spawning them in general
Drill/Chainsaw noises
The Empress of Light "scream" as she appears, starts to dash, and is defeated
Explosives and other things that use its sound, such as rocket launchers
Shotguns, louder guns such as the Phoenix Blaster and Chain Gun, and the Vortex Beater
Moon Lord in general
Seagulls and Dolphins
The teleport noise (mostly for multiplayer, I would scare my partner when teleporting to them without warning due to the sound. A dummy engine is still probably going to be loud)
Thunder
Whip swing and whip crack (the latter is much quieter)
Also, the Whoopie Cushion sound is replaced with a generic Cloud in a Bottle sound.
Again, I stress that many sounds are not affected, and this is only half of an effort to lower Terraria's volume to a comfortable level - you should still make use of the in-game volume slider to reduce the rest of the game's sounds to a level you can handle.
