I was sitting in a farm trying to get mimic items using the classic pyramid method of one flat area with a pyramid and lava in the middle to farm hardmode items. I was in the drunk world seed, and the first mimic spawned and killed made hardmode ore message pop to bless the world with cobalt.
I sat around and waited for another mimic to spawn but it didn't cause the same issue.
Not sure what happened, I hadn't smashed any alters yet to prevent the mechanical bosses from spawning before I was ready. It happened the second the mimic died so that is the only event I could see that triggered it.
