Minor suggestion: Use industry standard symbols for logic gates?
i.e.
NOT : ˜ (U+02DC)
AND : · (U+00B7)
OR : + (U+002B)
XOR : ⊕ (U+2295)
NAND : ↑ (U+2191)
NOR : ↓ (U+2193)
XNOR : ... no unicode symbol for it; but it's just a circle with a dot in the middle
You guys managed to squeeze numbers into the timer icons ...
It's not a big deal though so whatever.
PS: I know there are no NOT gates in-game. But if they ever provide us with a more standard logic gate/wiring system with (Highs and Lows vs current pulse based system) as an alternative ...

You don't see a difference between a single number and these large symbols? How could these possible fit?

You mean to tell me they can't squeeze in a + sign when they can cramp in numbers like 5?

Now I see what you were referring to, I thought you meant the unicode. It's a single symbol ...
