I have made some cool new spears for the game, I took all the different areas of the game and put each existing spear in a tier. I then made a spear for the tiers that didn't have a spear.
First we have the bone spear
The bone spear is a rare drop from the Undead Miner (I think thats what it's called)
it would have similar stats to the bone sword of course.
12 melee damage
average speed
average knockback
8% critical strike chance
Next we have the cursed spear.
The crimson has the rotted fork but the corruption was left spearless.
It is crafted with 10 Demonite bars.
4 melee damage
average speed
weak knockback
4% critical strike chance
inflicts cursed flames
Next we have the stinging spear
It will be crafted with 12 stingers, 1 vine and 4 jungle spores and 10 rich mahogany wood.
33 melee damage
average speed
weak knockback
8% critical strike chance
small chance to poison enemies
Next is the aqueidon (Ak-why-don)
It is looted from gold dungeon chests.
19 melee damage
very fast speed
very weak knockback
4% critical strike chance
works just like the mushroom spear but creates water bolts instead.
Next is the lava lance.
It is crafted with 20 Hellstone bars.
35 melee damage
average speed
average knockback
4% critical strike chance
has a small chance to inflict the "on fire" debuff.
The dark lance should no longer be found in shadow chests but it should be crafted in a similar fashion to nights edge. Demonite hooked spear/ rotted fork + Stinger spear + Aqueidon + lava lance.
Next is the forbidden crook.
(Bad sprite)
Crafted with 2 forbidden shards and 15 adamantite/ titanium bars.
30 melee damage
insanely fast speed
weak knockback
10% critical strike chance
has a very very small chance to inflict broken armor (attacks really fast)
Next is the Darklight lance. First I need to give credit to the people who made the avalon mod because they made a spear like this in their mod, I didn't want to copy off of them too much so I made my very own sprite.
It is crafted with a broken hero sword, a dark lance and gungnir, it is like spear version of the terrablade. Not really.
80 melee damage
fast speed
average knockback
8% critical strike chance.
Next is the beetle's horn.
After beating plantera you don't find another spear so the last spear in the game currently is the chlorophyte partisan. The beetles horn is crafted with 15 chlorophyte bars and 4 beetle shells.
100 melee damage
average knockback
fast speed
10% critical strike chance
has a chance to deal double damage
The last spear... I give you... (drumroll please) The Alcyone!
Crafted with 15 luminite bars and 5 of each pillar fragment.
200 melee damage
fast speed
average knockback
20% critical strike chance
has a chance to inflict celestial inferno (stronger cursed inferno with light blue flames)
