Game Mechanics Mobile: Help with selecting inventory item

So what about an icon that you can place anywhere just like other controls, that brings up list of items from your quickbar.

Or an icon with any number from 0-9 that is connected to particular item slot.

And I just wanna add that auto-select is unusable and unlike on PC, it should just switch to an item entirely rather than forcing you to keep pressing the button.

We have quickbar at the top but I think it's too small and too far from the main controls .

Mobile also has the auto-select feature, but only usable when playing the game with a controller

I mean, you get the screen button for auto-select though.

Just realized that there is an auto-select button for the touch as well. If you haven't customized the touch controls, here is the location of the button:



It's the button that normally makes you hold torches (and a pickaxe/axe when the cursor is over a tree or block)
