I tried to look up on the internet and there isn't any good guide. Is it possible to download maps without root/any hack?

Hi there @refaelmc, sorry, there's no way to download maps and install them on the mobile version of Terraria without hacking.

Modifying or distributing the mobile game files is prohibited by 505 Games, so there's not going to be any way to do it without hacking. And since we support 505 Games' policy on this, it is not permitted to discuss methods of doing this on the forums either. :)

Hey have you tried downloading <removed by staff> on android or ios app store it is free and its a third party app which means you wont be able to save on your normal downloaded game it will save the world in the launcher separately so u cant take the stuff to your regular downloaded game, bit it is still fun and you can downloaf maps with all itens. Hi @crushtheoriginal, I realize that you were just trying to help, but as I mentioned two posts before yours, we do not permit the posting of methods to modify mobile game files. I edited your post.

505 Games has a policy that you can read here, and as we adhere to their policy, we don’t allow methods to be shared of how to do it on the forums. Official 505Games Policy Regarding Console/Mobile Hacking

Please don’t post how to modify the mobile game files again. Thanks.

Now that 1.3 is out for mobile, it is possible to legitimately install maps.
Yes, with conditions. :) The policy has been updated, and you can read all of it here: Official 505Games Policy Regarding Console/Mobile Hacking

Part of it includes the following, but please read the entire policy from the link above:
You may share unaltered copies of world (.wld) and player (.plr) files in forum posts. By "unaltered", we mean files that have not been created or changed in any way outside of the official released mobile Terraria app obtained from official app stores.”

You may NOT share any world or player files that have been otherwise altered in any way. This includes files that have been altered by inventory editors, map editors, hex editors, hacked/cracked versions of Terraria, or any external/3rd party programs.

A post such as that would violate community rules...
