Yes in fact I forgot to... In multiplayer I have all the requirements for the pylons as stated on the wiki and it says your not close enough to a pylon to use it. I can't send a video because there's a limit but I'll send some screenshots

i think there might be an error with the message, it might be trying to say not in right biome to use, try placing more hallowed grass down adn see if it works
 
In fact no it's not the biome. Today I had the same problem with my forest pylon. Which I try hard to purify and it had the same problem. The thing is the pylon doesent show on the map as faded its just nothing on the map
