Resolved [Mobile] "setting hard mode" is taking way too long

You see, I recently beat WoF for the first time. I was so excited to finally be in hardmode. The problem is, it's been 26 hours since then (at the time of writing this) and it's only at 60%*. I don't think it's meant to take this long. I play on a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.00" (2018) if that helps. Anyways, I'm just wondering if I should let it finish or redo the fight (I would prefer not to do the latter). Also, is this normal?

I also have autopause on. Does that affect the speed? I'm sorry if I'm asking too many questions, as I'm kinda new here.

wit doesn’t take too long on me, are you settings minimalized to the lowest, to see if that helps(if not, maybe see if autopause is causing it, just in case)

You're not in journey mode with time frozen by any chance? I made that mistake once, wondering why the hallow hadn't appeared.

all graphic settings are on low; It's the same speed with autopause on

Yeah it’s definitely the device because it ain’t slow for me

It worked for me as it took only 7 to 10 seconds to set hardmode since I’m playing on my iPhone 8 Plus and this was in iOS 14.1

It was quick to set up hardmode after killing the WoF.

This is might or might not change with consoles in 1.4(I beleive there never was the setting hardmode in 1.3 I don’t remember though been a while since I defeated the wall of flesh on mobile 1.3)

quick update- my tablet crashed and now everything was reverted to just before the WoF fight

I'll try again. I still have my buffs!

I won! and it's already going a lot faster!

now its at 11%

nevermind. all I have to do was redo the WoF fight. now it's loading perfectly.

It's been 15 min and it's at 54%. I don't need any more help. Thanks!

It should only take a few seconds; taking minutes is unusual. The offer is there if it gets stuck again.

I'm not sure about archiving a thread. Maybe contact a mod?

The Old Nintendo 3DS (Not NEW) Versions were way worse when activating Hardmode...
