Same, but ever since this update I have been constantly been dyeing way to much that's the bad thing about this update because they like added attack damage or something.

The first two Palladins I fought killed me. I doubt I will ever be defeAting any paladins any time soon.

This update does only contain fixes and rebalancing as Loki also said before.

These are just fixes and rebalancing of the game. The latter I will imagine will take some adjustment.
Noone can ever fix every crash ever....but I do hope this nails down at least some of them (I have passed up the more common additional major issues that I encounter)
WP was delayed because of a system overhaul due to W10, per the OP.

Every time I update I'm slightly afraid of game deleting my saves. And this sigh of relief when I open in and nothing is gone.
And, I don't know if it's because of update, during Plantera battle while using both movement and tool pads, screen started zooming in and out. And auto aiming didn't react to tapping Plantera. It chose Man Eater protected by mud instead. Quite problematic when not using sword, as Vamp Knives target something out of reach.
