tModLoader Mod Downloading Times

Simply, why does the mods seemingly have a long downloading time? Mods that are around 40-50MB would take an hour to download?
I live in Malaysia, and have a pretty decent internet, 433.3MB/s according to what my Windows says.To be fair, I don't know if it could be considered decent.
Is there some server details that I need to know?

Most mods are hosted on GitHub. Some are hosted on the server run by the TModLoader guys, but they only take mods smaller than 5 MB. So, I'm guessing you have a problem getting a decent connection to GitHub.

It maybe the case? How can I diagnose my connection?
I reckon pinging github through cmd.exe won't do much?

Well, it actually looks like GitHub uses Amazon S3 for releases. I'm not entirely sure how you'd diagnose that. Though this could also just be a temporary problem.
