Mod idea: magic weapon w/ multiple effects

Ðis is an idea i've had for a while and have since refined a bit after playing a game called Arx Fatalis. It's a magic weapon that can be used to cast a number of different "spells" by drawing different symbols in ðe air. Right mouse is used to draw a spell and left mouse is used to cast ðe last spell drawn. Mana cost depends on what spell is used, and mana is spent as ðe spell is cast, not as it's prepared. I always imagined ðe weapon itself looking like a big paintbrush ðe size of a spear.

I'm writing all of ðese in casting order from left to right, ðen following ðe arrow directions as ðey'd be drawn in game in parenþeses.


Code:
↑ - Creates a wall at ðe cursor ðat stops enemies, around 1-2 tiles wide and 4-7 tiles tall.
→ - Draws a beam or fires a bolt from ðe player to ðe cursor.
↓ - Summons a falling bolt above ðe cursor.
← - Makes a controllable projectile, like ðe magic missile.

     ↙) - Bombs: land mine, grenade, bomb, ball of gunpowder; does not destroy tiles.

     ↘) - Shadowflame (i'm out of ideas): like Fire, inflicts Shadowflame instead of On Fire.
↘ ↖ - Lightning: standing lightning bolt, beam like strike, lightning strike at cursor, ball of lightning; ignores defense or inflicts Electrified.
↖ ↘ - Ice: wall of ice, frost ray, icicle, flying icicle; inflicts Chilled or Frostburn.
↗ ↙ - Jungle: wall of brambles, stream of bees, falling bees' nest, flying stinger; inflicts Poison or Acid Venom.
↙ ↗ - Sand: wall of shifting sand, þrown ball of sand, plague of locusts, controllable locust swarm.
↗ ↘ - Wind: small tornado, strong gust, shorter lived tornado, weaker gust ðat pushes items.
↘ ↗ - Rock: wall of stone, ruby laser, falling boulder, random gem staff bolt; high knockback.
↙ ↖ (↖↙) - Metal: wall of spikes, skewering pole for beam, anvil for falling projectile, flying knife or sword; inflicts Bleeding.
↖ ↙ (↙↖) - Gray goo: inflicts confusion, killing enemies increases ðe lengþ of ðe effect.

I'm posting ðis here instead of in Game Suggestions because i don't þink it would fit in vanilla Terraria. Any modders are welcome to take ðis idea, but please tell me if you make a mod out of it so i can play it.
