Today I present to you: ModItem Tooltips.

Purpose
This mod simply adds the name of the mod an item is coming from in its tooltip. I heard there already exists a mod that does this, but I plan to make this mod very configurable and possible with more options than just this. I also wanted to release this because I do not plan on hiding the code, I want people to be able to access it so they can see how it's done.
What you can currently do:
Type /moditemtooltips to toggle the feature on/off, this saves per player.
Downloads
Recommened:
Go to the releases on github, download the .tmod release you want to use and place it in (windows) %userprofile%\Documents\My Games\Terraria\ModLoader\Mods
The mod is also available using the mod browser.
