I personally love spears as a weapon class, but the pre-hardmode spear progression is VERY limited. I mean, you go straight from a normal spear, then maybe to a trident, which is hard to find, or rotted fork, if you actually fish then you get the swordfish, and finally to a dark lance until you get the Cobalt/Palladium Spear. So why isn't there more? That is what this thread is about. I also will be making suggestions to change how you get certain spears.

Trident/Platinum Glaive

Strong Knockback (7)
Average Speed (30)
5% Crit Chance

Rotted Fork Should still be gained from Crimson Hearts, but have its damaged raised to 16
Dark Lance should have its damage lowered to 16, and put inside shadow orbs
Swordfish should have its damage raised to 19.

That's it for pre hardmode, but here are a few bonus spears for hardmode.
Silver Knight Spear
39 Melee Damage
Very Strong Knockback (8.5)
Average Speed (27)
6% Crit Chance
Crafted at a Mythril Anvil with a silver spear and 15 souls of light.
Does 10 More damage against skeleton or undead mobs.
"From the Land of the Gods."
If you didn't notice, this spear, as well as its special ability is a reference to the Silver Knight Spear in Dark Souls.
High Speed Heavy Tungsten Spear
37 Melee Damage
Strong Knockback (6.5)
Fast Speed (24)
6% Crit Chance.
Crafted at an Adamantite/Titanium Forge with a Tungsten Spear and 10 Iron bars.
This spear has a few references to real life tungsten. Tungsten means "Heavy Stone" In swedish, and one of the alloys tungsten is in is High speed steel.
I honestly can't sprite at all, so if people were willing to make sprites for this, I would greatly appreciate it.
