No, bats aren't an endangered species. Maybe they would be if "bat" was a species, but it's not. There are plenty of species of bats, and while some on them may be endangered, I'm pretty sure not all of them are.

Turtles (Both ice and jungle), they deal too much contanct damage and can be a threat even in late game. This is the only enemy that truly annoys me.
But from the poll i'd choose derplings, none of enemies from the poll i'd call even close to be the most annoying enemy in Terraria, but derpling is the closest.

Same here. Tortoises not only deal damage well over a hundred when rolling, they LOVE to attack from blind spots offscreen, either zooming right at your face or falling from above. And they do one hell of a tag team with derplings.

Lava slimes on expert are pretty annoying whenever they spawn lava after they die, other enemies like turtles and gastropods are also pretty annoying do to their attacks.

God I hate lava slimes, they always kill all the obsidian furniture before I can reach it.

Every Arch enemy was removed when 1.3 hit consoles/mobile.

harpies too. in early game. I went up to a sky island in my for the worthy master world to do some fishing for angler. and I got swarmed by like 6 harpies

Yeah, harpies can be super annoying... I fought the twins on a sky bridge and I almost died purely because of harpies.
