Movie ratings are weird

Has anyone noticed Back to the Future is the same rating as Frozen, PG?
I'm pretty sure parents these days aren't letting their six-year-old watch Back to the Future.
Just something strange I noticed. I think movie ratings are changing over time.

Yes, but it's still strange. PG movies then were actual Parental Guidence movies. Now, PG means it has a plot.
