PC my game audio doesn't work

when i alt tab off of terraria and onto another application (minimize it i think), and then i maximize it again, the audio just stops working, like completely silent, and it doesn't turn back on when i close it and open it again

I closed it and opened it a 2nd time and the music works again, but the sound effects don't for some reason?!?!?
I closed and opened a 3rd time and it doesn't work anymore

Imma just play tmod since it actually works properly
