Terrarian
Recently ive started playing terraria and my pc suddenly freezes. This only happens in terraria, so I know the cause isn't overheating. I also know it isn't windows since I've done all kinds of repairs like: "sfc" and all the "dism" repairs. and recently gotten a new windows key. I've also looked at the windows system logs and I got an error 10010 and I suppose its when it froze. I've tried reinstalling the game and verifying the game files which didn't work. I can run rdr2 on allmost max settings and satisfactory and it doesn't freeze. I'm on my phone now and I don't know my specs but I will list them under Tomorrow.

Edit:1 also I've played before on the same pc and this wasn't an issue

Edit:2 I don't have any mods or workshop additives installed

Edit:3
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
Installed RAM 16,0 GB
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Does the freezing last long, or is it in quick frequent bursts? I never checked if my entire computer was freezing up but since I updated my game it's been randomly freezing all the time.

what is your pc specs?
try lowering audio sample rate

It isn't a lastning Thing. It just freezes my whole computer Till I either hold down the power button or I get blue screen

Is there any audio stuttering during the freezing? I encountered a similar occasional freezing problem where the audio would stutter, and the game would freeze, leading to a blue screen. If you're experiencing this, it's probably that either your graphics driver or audio drivers are faulty.

there isn't always stuttering. sometimes all audio just stops and sometimes it is stuttering

I am experiencing the same problem.
OS: NixOS (6.6.9-zen1)
CPU: 13th Generation Intel i7-1360P
GPU: Intel Raptor Lake-P [Iris Xe Graphics]
Memory: 16gb

Tried both wine and native versions.

But I play TModLoader version, could test vanilla if needed.

yeah test vanilla game whats your bios

As I can see, lowering the audio sample rate eliminated my freezes.

I will test further, if I encounter them I will post a reply.

EDIT:
Still experiencing this issue.
