(EDIT: looking back, this spectre block idea was a bit all over the place and not really needed because we already have a bunch of echo stuff, I will keep the other content about my terraria adventure up on this post however)
Around two weeks ago I decided to start a new terraria expert world as a mage. when I was playing I noticed that each ore and bar such as copper/ tin, silver/ tungsten, gold/ platinum , crimtane/ demonite, etc had their own block, so then I had this idea where I would try and make a cool build out of each of these ores and bars as I progressed through my world.
Starting off I made my main base at spawn out of tin and platinum bricks while I was in pre HM and set up important stuff like a storage room and a crafting station room along with many rooms and a hellevator underneath the base.
However when I started to progress through my world I set up a granite themed herb farm so I could make potions and once I was like middle way through HM I also made a marble penthouse thing with a minecart launcher and underneath the tin and platinum base I made a crystal bunker where I do crystal duping.
After I built my tin and plat base I was still pretty fresh into pre-HM and wanted to set up a base around the desert made out of tungsten so I could do fishing and I also got a thunder zapper.
A bit after setting up my desert base I wanted to fight some bosses like the EOC and EOW and get meteorite to craft a set of meteorite armor for that sweet extra magic damage. I also farmed QB for the honeyed goggles as the flying bee mount is really helpful for early game building. After I got everything I needed I made this spacecraft out of meteorite and demonite bricks.
After that I was coming close to the end of pre-HM so I worked on stuff in the underworld like arenas and fishing lakes as well as focusing one getting some of the strongest weapons like the fire flower. Behind the scenes I was stockpiling hellstone so I could build a nice and comfy little home for my FAVOURITE town slimes.
After I killed WOF I took a bit of a break and focused on survival, getting better weapons, and mining up the new HM ores for titanium armor. I also expanded my arena and killed the queen slime for the crystal assassin armor as it had high defence and the dashing ability is really nice. After killing the mechs one by one I decided to keep the queen slime armor equipped as I like it more than the hallowed armor. A few fishing trips and plantera boss fights later I was ready to get the spectre armor and rush to killing golem and the martians so I could get stuff like the UFO mount, charged blaster cannon, and laser machinegun.
Having stuff like this along with the shellphone and hand of creation meant I was ready to start farming resources again for my next build. For this build I want it to look like a certain flag so I started farming for mythril brick, titanstone block, and palladium column as well as golden furniture.
Now I was going to to start working on a castle by the beach based off hallowed bar, but there was one slight issue: unlike other ores and bars, hallowed bar cannot be crafted into any sort of block, luckily using gold bricks, platinum bricks , and shiny red blocks such as rubies and adamantite beams I was able to imitate the appearance of hallowed bars; I don't really think hallowed bar should be able to be crafted into any sort of block or brick as it would probably look kinda cursed. This build is undertale inspired.
My next build is in the underground jungle so I blasted a huge plantera arena sized hole with dynamite and started get ready build again. Using chlorophyte bricks and black painted lizahrd brick I made this plagued version of the jungle temple and also decide to decorated the outside of the build with more greenery so I used the living loom quite a lot as well as the living mahogany wood and leaf wand. Halfway through the build I started using shroomite digging claws instead of the laser drill as they dig a lot faster.
After finishing that build I was kinda tired of building so I began farming duke fishron for better wings, the bubble gun and razorblade typhoon. Then I summoned the pumpkin moon for stuff like the witches broom and spooky wood. After that I started grinding the frostmoon because I wanted to see how good the blizzard staff is and tested it out on the OOA but it turned out the bubble gun was a lot better for crowd control and did more damage up close so I ended up not really using the staff. With all of that after the way I started fighting OOA for betsy's wrath. Once I obtained betsy's wrath I started using it instead of the bubblegun.
Also I bought the autohammer which meant it was time to start farming shroomite plating so I could work on a space mushroom build for the truffle. this build is a rocket ship which comes with a smaller rocket ship underneath it so you could go fishing.
