When i start terraria on Steam my game doesnt start why is that so anyone can help me?

Fixed it yet?
I went to the Terraria folder in steamapps and deleted everything in there without uninstalling it on Steam.
Went to click play on Steam, got an error that Terraria needed to be installed.
Reinstalled it afterwards, now it works.
