Weapons & Equip My "Terraspark Boots Buff" mod showcased! Do you think some of these effects would fit in the vanilla game?

It’s because they stack with wings. Without wings they’re only okay.

TSpark are good for exploring, but by the time you get them that niche isn’t all too useful anymore. Buffing that niche would be simultaneously too good and worthless while doing anything else would make it the perfect accessory that puts anything else to shame.

Amphibian are good with any mobility accessory setup, they are really good with Bundle of Balloons too, which I usually use over wings, even in Hardmode.

Terraspark Boots are replaced by 2 or even 3 potions, so even when exploring you can just use potions + Amphibian/mount. Flipper Potion is actually better than liquid walking since enemy projectiles slow down underwater while the player speeds up significantly. Buffing the effects when interacting with liquids like I did with my Water Affinity, Lava Shield and Obsidian Healing buffs isn't that powerful. It's only 5 defense and 0.5 HP/s for 15 seconds, then you need to go down into the liquid again to reactivate the effects. It's only 15% speed for 10 seconds that reactivates as soon as you touch the liquid. 38 x 1.15 = 43.7 mph. That's not all that powerful, it's only slightly faster than Golf Cart temporarily, while also taking up an accessory slot. There are better items in this game than my buffed Terraspark Boots.

It’s a QoL accessory; something you don’t want to constantly be drinking all those potions.

Except you don't constantly drink potions. They last for several minutes each and are easy to produce in bulk. And you just press the quickbuff hotkey when they run out, it's also really easy to keep track of.

The buffs in the image I posted last for several hours and crafting all those potions didn't take particularly long actually. Then when they run out I just make another batch of potions.

What if you die?
Not a big problem, as I said producing these buff potions is really easy. I always make a herb farm and I shimmer Ale to get Mugs and then shimmer Mugs to get Glass for Bottles. Then you just fill those Bottles with Water.

that feels exessive when you can just mine sand

One thing to add about the "terrasparks are outclassed by potions" point - it's even true if you don't have a mass produced supply of potions (which I do recommend setting up, it's not too difficult and is super nice QOL).

If I expect to interact with water, sure flipper potion and/or water walking are useful, but by the time I have spectre boots I already have a grappling hook, so water is little more than a minor annoyance. Terraspark boots offer little more than lightning boots in this case. The only time where I find water walking useful is against duke fishron, but by the time I get to that fight I have 10+ water walking potions from chests, so it's a non-issue (I'd also rather not use lightning boots against duke anyways).

If I expect to interact with lava for short periods of time, this is when the lava charm is useful. However, obsidian skin potion offers a significantly better lava protection effect that works both for short lava interactions and straight up diving in the stuff. It also requires significantly less effort to obtain a bunch of obsidian skin potions than obtain a lava charm (and the charm also takes up an accessory slot if you haven't found obsidian rose, ice skates, and especially water walking boots).

I would like to add that Obsidian Skin Potion also grants On Fire! immunity, which Terraspark Boots don't, so that's yet another point for Obsidian Skin.

Also, Terraspark Boots are much more expensive to reforge than Lightning Boots, Lightning Boots have a rarity of Pink and sell price is 6 gold while Terraspark is Lime rarity and sell price is 15 gold.
