Weapons & Equip Nanite Headpieces - Single player alternative to Shroomite

Explanation

This idea is essentially a solution to 2 mildly annoying things in one:

1. Shroomite Armour is great, but it's set bonus doesn't really help you in single player.

2. Nanites as a material is such a cool concept but all it does is make bullets and a flask. :guidecry:

The solution: Nanite Headpieces!

The nanite headpieces would have very similar stats as Shroomite headpieces, but have a different set bonus. (You still wear the shroomite breastplate and greaves)

Also, if I don't mention something about the item, just assume it's the same as shroomite.

Nanite bars are used to craft the headpieces:




Nanite Bars

Crafted from:

1 clorophyte bar + 2 nanites, at a mythril/orichalcum anvil.
OR
Shimmering a shroomite bar (works the other way around too)




Nanite headgear/mask/helmet

Crafted from:

12 nanite bars (same amount as shroomite), at a mythril/orichalcum anvil.
OR
Shimmering the respective shroomite headgear/mask/helmet (also works the other way around)

The headpieces provide the same sub-class-specific damage bonus as their Shroomite counterparts.

Defense: 15 (4 higher than Shroomite because you'll have more aggro in single player, also I have no idea how balanced this is).

Set bonus: +20% movement speed, or just any bonus that isn't decreased aggro (once again, no idea how balanced these numbers are).




It could also be a full set of armour, but I feel like it would need to differentiate itself a little more to be a separate set entirely.

I don't really mind about whether it's full armour or just the headpieces, because the different set bonus is the thing that counts.

However, if we did have the breastplate and leggings it would be more cohesive so I suppose so.
 
so: nanite armour has a TOTAL of (compared to shroomite) +5 extra defense, +10 ranged damage and crit, your projectiles sometimes inflict Confused (just as an extra that doesn't really affect the gameplay during bossing),,
Set bonus: Press (keybind or such) to activate fabricated rage. when under this buff you temporarily gain extra ranged damage and crit, but lose defense and gain extra aggro
 
Here's my idea for the full set:

Nanite Weave: (Functions just like a bar would) crafted with 20 Nanites and 1 Chlorophyte Bar
Nanite Helmet: 9 Defense. +20% Specialty Damage, +7% Ranged Crit Chance
Nanite Headgear: 9 Defense. +20% Bow Damage, +7% Ranged Crit Chance
Nanite Mask: 9 Defense. +20% Gun Damage, +7% Ranged Crit Chance
Nanite Breastplate: 22 Defense. +15% Increased Ranged Damage and Crit Chance, 20% Chance not to consume Ammo
Nanite Leggings: 14. +10% Increased Ranged Damage and Crit Chance, +15% Movement Speed
Set Bonus: Increase projectile velocity and knockback by 100% and 50% respectively. Projectiles have a 1/5 chance to cause confusion (thanks to trya for that idea).

All pieces have -2 defense compared to the Chlorophyte items, due to this set having greater offensive capability.
 
Since when does Shroomite's set bonus not help you in singleplayer? The damage boost you get for simply standing still for a while is quite substantial. Yes, it's not very good in boss fights, but that's not a problem exclusive to singleplayer play; most bosses at that point in the game can't be fully dodged by letting your friends distract them. I don't think Shroomite is a multiplayer-exclusive armor set at all.
