Weapons & Equip New accessory: Executioner Cloth

The Executioner Cloth is a 1%(2% in Expert+) drop chance from Wraiths. It makes critical hits do 250% damage instead of 200%. Tooltip:”A cloth that twists and turns when you don’t look.” It appears as a black ragged scarf. It also has an upgrade: the Reaper’s Embrace.

Reaper’s Embrace: Critical hits do 3x damage instead of 2x. +10% crit chance.
Crafting:
1x Executioner Cloth
1x Black Fairy Dust
@ Tinkerer’s Workshop
Tooltip: “I’m Death, straight up.”


CHANGES:
Removed Naughty List, as it felt forced in. Nerfed Ecloth to 250% from 300%, and nerfed Rembrace to 300% from 400%(but gave it a crit chance bonus). Also gave Ecloth a new tooltip.

Naughty List: Critical hits do 300% damage and ignore defence. +10% crit chance. Enemies have a very small chance(around 1/1500) to drop Coal.

Tooltip: “Useful for killing malicious Christmas Spirits.”
I like the main item, not the tinkers as much. I’d say Reaper’s Embrace can be Destroyer Emblem + Executioner’s Cloth, and I don’t see the list needed at all really.

I agree. The main item is fine, but the others should be left.

Sorry for forgetting to elaborate on my opinions (rather fatigued…)

E. Cloth is neat, maybe a bit overpowered (it’s effectively x1.5 crit) but still cool.

R. Embrace, besides the weird recipe (1. Black Fairy Dust is a wing material and 2. Accessories very rarely get buffs from random items like it) is pretty cool as well. Again, it is effectively x2 crit so probably too good.

N. List has a similar weird recipe (N. Present is to summon an event; using it for more is weird,) has the rather random coal drop, and is yet again absolutely overpowered. ML’s core would take an extra 140dmg per hit, not including all the other boosts.

Maxing out crit to 100% (not all too hard) + these 3 makes your crit effectively 450% (150% x 150% x 200%) more effective, as well as ignoring all defense. As you can see, that is rather absurd.

I’d change E. Cloth to be 250% (Effectively x1.25 crit) and the R. Embrace to be made with Destroyer Emblem instead and just give 10 to 15% crit alongside the 250% crit damage.

Pumpkin Moon has the Necro Scroll already.

I want it to be a fairly specialized accessory, as this won’t do that much on normal builds. And you are right about Pumpkin Moon. Maybe it takes Bones and Ectoplasm instead?

Like I said, it is extremely rare for accessory + material = better accessory to exist. There are two examples I can think of in the entire game, and one of those makes mild sense.

(The examples are Mana Flower and Avenger Emblem btw)

These should be the exception, not the rule.

Yeah, that’s fair. I’m not really aware of any accessories that fit the stats and vibe, though.

Eye of the Golem and Destroyer Emblems are crit-focused accessories that can work here.

200% to 250% is 25% more crit damage, which is a lot. This is a damage multiplier, the efficiency of which is determined based on your crit chance. With 10% crit chance it's 1.025x damage, with 40% it's 1.1x damage which is already extremely good (better than all emblems) and it just gets better from there.

It's not hard to get 30-40% crit chance or more, so this should only be about 15-20% more crit damage to fully incentivize getting a lot of crit chance to make it work. This also definitely doesn't need a tinker upgrade, not if the multiplier is going to be high to begin with.
