These are more cooler and unique armor bonuses I made up. All original armor set bonuses are not to be added with new armor set bonuses unless said. Any left click ability’s have a cool down. The cool down is displayed in a red circle around the cursor that starts to un-trace its self as the cool down starts to wear off. Any armors not listed stay the same. If anyone wants to make some sprites for the armor bonuses (like turtle shell), just tag me and say so.


Boreal- Every 2nd melee swing, a snowball is thrown towards the cursor. No ammo required
Palm- Right click to throw a water sphere. The sphere does 6 direct damage on impact, no critical chance, and 2 second cool down.
Rich Mahogany- Right click to thrown a 3 tile long vine grappling hook. I
Ebon wood- When in corruption, any type of weapon inflicts poison
Shade wood- When in crimson, you get the regeneration buff (doesn’t stack with regeneration potion)
(Forest) Wood- Permeant Noob Buff (Noob buff is a stronger calm buff (1.15x stronger) )
Copper- When standing still (takes 2 seconds of no movement), your defense is 1.5x. Round down. You can attack while doing this.
Tin- (Monster only) Ranged and magic attacks bounce off of you. Therefore, you only take 70% of the damage but you risk running into it again
Iron- Right click in midair to increase falling speed by 1.5x. Fall damage is not effected. Can’t be done again till you touch the ground again
Lead- Right click in midair to increase falling speed by 3x. Falling damage is 1.5x. Can’t be done again till you touch the ground again
Silver- Emits a shiny sparkling effect. Any enemy (excluding bosses, players, and mini-bosses) are slowed down by 50% when coming in the shiny area. 2 tile radius around the player
Tungsten- Tool Speed is increased by 20% and gets a sparkly gleam
Gold- You get a 10% discount in vendors. When shopping from a vendor, everything is slowed down 90% (this side effect is basically useless when auto pause is on)
Platinum- When you have 50-25 hit points , you deal 10% more damage. When you have 24-1 hit points, you deal 30% more damage. Your eyes glow red when below 50 hit points.
Meteor- Normal Mode: Keep original set bonus Expert Mode: Launches a meteor that falls downward from the top of the screen at different angles but goes towards the cursor. Deals about 20 damage, 3% critical chance, and cool down of five seconds. Deals 3 tile radius splash damage.
Shadow- Left click to speed up your characters movement speed and melee speed by 15% for 5 seconds and you start to emit shadow flame particle effect. Cool down of 1 minute.
Crimson- Revives your character if you take enough damage to die. However, you only get revived ONE hit point and emit tons of red glowing particles. 3 second invincibility frame. You will also get a 45 second potion cool down. Revive cool down is 8 minutes.
Molten- All forms of attacks inflict On Fire! for 7 seconds. Attacks emit flame particles.
Gem Robe and Wizard Hat- The respective gem staff to that robe shoots a burst of three magical bolts instead of one. It uses the same amount of mana if you were using it without the set bonus. Gem color effect circles around your character

•Here is some single pieces with extra effects•
Empty Bucket- You get a buff when you are in certain liquids
—Water- You drown 5% slower and a 5% damage reduction
—Honey- Honey buff regeneration is 2% stronger and last 35 seconds when out of the honey
—Lava- 11% damage reduction in lava
Gi- You get a dash ability. Half the distance of the dash from the eye shield
Goggles- Firing speed of guns is faster by 5% and less likely to get a black eye (jk)
Viking Helmet- You emit mist around you in a 7 tile radius. Anything that comes into the mist gets the chilled debuff

Cactus- Permeant Thorn Effect but chest plate has 1 less defense when set bonus is active
Eskimo- Immune to chill debuff. Snowballs goes twice the distance and does 50% more damage. When in a different biome, movement speed is reduced by 20%
Gladiator- Enemies are more likely to attack you and deal 3% more damage to you. Melee damage and speed is increase by 10%. Javelins are super powered and have a way faster throwing speed and distance 75% increased
Jungle- Spores gather around you like spore sack, except they do 10 damage and home in on enemies
Necro- Skeletons and Wall Creepers Are neutral unless attacked in which they are hostile. You take 25% less damage to skeleton type enemies. Keep original bonus as well.
Ninja- Right click twice to gain a 1 second invincibility frame. 10 second cool down
Obsidian- Able to walk on water and lava. You drown 33.3% slower and take only 50% damage in lava.
Pumpkin- When at full health, your melee and ranged weapons deal 50% more damage and have a 20% to throw a pumpkin at the cursor. Everything about the pumpkin has same stats as a snowball
Rain- Any weapons used in rain have a 25% increased damage boost. Pressing on Right click as this will allow you to slide like on ice.
Pearl wood- Weapons only obtainable in hard mode deal 2 times damage. However, head piece give 1 defense, chest gives 1 defense, and boots give 0 defense.

•These have 3 different set bonuses for each armor set. They change from the type of that armor helmet that is equipped•
-Cobalt
—Melee: When a sword is used, a bubble is thrown towards the cursor that goes as fast as a snowball. It isn’t effected by gravity and does 30 damage. No critical damage and no knock back. +2 defense.
—Ranged: All projectiles get a 1 tile bubble around it. When it collides, it does area damage (2 tile radius) which does half damage of the damage of the projectile. Ranged attacks do 5% more damage.
—Magic: Mana increased by 40. A bubble will form around you, that will absorb any mana stars around on the screen. Right clicking will give everything on the screen “Chilled” debuff. Cool down is 30 seconds
-Mythil
—Melee: Flails have life steal healing you for 10% of any damage dealt. Round up on healing. -8 defense (to balance healing).
—Ranged: When a bullet hits a Wall/Ground/Ceiling, a vile thorn travels in that direction. The vile thorn is exactly the same from the one you get from the corruption stats except the mana use. The vile thorn will not happen if it hits a enemy.
—Magic: Right click to summon dryads blessing spell, that last for 10 seconds. Cool down is 60 seconds. It effects all players and npcs on the screen.
-Admandite
—Melee: All melee weapons inflict 10% more damage, the “On Fire!” debuff, and 30% more knockback. All melee weapons get flaming particles emitting from them.
—Ranged: All Ranged weapons inflict “On Fire!” And Velocity of projectiles is increased by 25%. Right click to change any arrows or bullets shot in to hellfire type for 10 seconds. All projectiles shot during the time do 10% damage. Cool down is 45 seconds.
—Magic: All Magic attacks inflict “On Fire!”. A burning sphere stays above your head. It is just like a imp (summonable type) that floats over your head. It’s shares all stats with a imp. +60 mana.
-Hallow
—Melee: +10 defense. Sword attacks summon a trail of rainbow that travel the end of the sword. Basically like rainbow gun but no mana required, 30% less damage, and follows tip of sword.
—Ranged: Ranged critical chance increased by 15%. All projectiles pierce through enemies 4 times as it loses 15% of damage every time it pierces. Whenever it hits the fourth time or a block, it has star particles just like jester arrow for decor.
—Magic: +80 mana. Right click to summon a beam of light to the cursor that stays in the location for 2 seconds. Does 50 damage and 10% critical chance. It goes from the top of the screen to bottom and is 2 tiles wide. This will consume 40 mana.

Beetle- +50 defense. You are most likely to attract enemies. Movement speed is decreased by 50%. Right Click to turn in to get the “Stoned Debuff”. While in the stoned debuff, any damage received is lowered by 80% (bonus). Right clicking while in stoned debuff undos this and removes defense. bonus.
Spooky- Right clicking a tree sets in on fire. Anything that touches it takes 70 damage, including players and yourself. The tree will then disappear in 10 seconds. 30 second cool down.
Frost- All forms of attacking use frost burn and your character emits snow particles, and keep orginal bonus.
Turtle- Big thought, but I was thinking for this would be a turtle shell, kinda like in Mario games, because why not. The shell is brown all around like turtle armor (Sprite needed) and 2x2 in tile length and height. It travels at double speed and goes in one direction till it hits a wall in which you switch directions. The only way you can interact in the shell is right click (which takes you out of the shell and gives you confused debuff for 5 seconds. Right click again to go back in shell [You can’t go into shell mode if you have confused debuff]) and space are which lets you jump the height your character can (wings doesn’t give a jump boost to the shell.). When the shell hits a entity that is damageable, it does 25-50 damage to that entity and you take 50% of the enemy’s melee attack damage, then you change directions.

What if tiki armour had a 'dryads blessing' sort of type set bonus. Hurts all enemies for 30 damage per 1.5 seconds and ignores defence. Also, it could increase the stats of the minions that are in the area.

How about some armour has a special effect in multiplayer (eg titanium will give a 'knocked down mode') for extra depth in pvp
 
What if tiki armour had a 'dryads blessing' sort of type set bonus. Hurts all enemies for 30 damage per 1.5 seconds and ignores defence. Also, it could increase the stats of the minions that are in the area.

OOOOOOOO!!! I like the idea! Just maybe keep orginal bonus as well.
