Sprites New class: Defender

WARNING: This class isn't based on high defense, armor or accessories that adds defense to player!

New class, Defender, based on defensive items: shields, battleshields, reflectors, etc. This class features new type of damage: Reflective.

How it works:
For example, I'm holding a Gold Shield

, and under my character appears some kind of menu:

is called target (It's color and size may change depending on the current shield).
It always moving on this "ring" (Ring is a path for target. Path and it's color also may change depending on the current shield). Speed of target depends on current shield too. But it can be adjusted with accessories as well as target size.

What i should do, to deal damage to someone?

I'm need to gain damage from my enemy while my cursor is on target. When i take damage while my cursor is on target, no damage done to me, but damage deals to my enemy. When i doing the same thing three times in a row (Between every time I'm dealing damage there is super-small cooldown in 0.5s when you or your enemy can't do any damage, this cooldown is same on all shields) I'm starting to gain damage. Why? Because all shields have amount of usages. This means, when i used it three times in a row, shield starts a "big" 5s cooldown (Each shield has it's own "big" cooldown time). In this cooldown mode you can't deal damage, but gained damage is reduced if cursor is on target.

Super-small cooldown stops if you moved mouse from target.
Shield can't protect you from buffs.
So each shield has:
Damage
Cooldown time
Amount of usages in a row
Cooldown defense
And unique menu.

Knockback is always extremely weak (1.5).

I do like this, I'll be honest with you. What would be funny is if they had a blitz or clash shield

This sounds quite interesting. Thinking out new classes that work well through the whole game is quite tricky. Thorium does it well, IMO. But complete classes are quite rare.

Those sprites doesn't look very good, but
the idea itself, is quite interesting.

But, in additional of armor, and shields as weapons, I think there are much more that would deserve some attention too.

As for one, mana. Since these are not mages or such, and probably wouldn't really use mana for much, maybe they could have some accessories for example that uses up mana to block attacks or reduce damage. Kind of like enchanted shield in Thorium.

And things that work well for multiplayer too, such as things like the effect of the paladdin's shield? For example, deffenders carrying certain items (or even it is standardly included in every deffender weapon (their shields) to provide a certan percent of dmg. reduction to nearby players (on the same team). - but they won't absorb that dmg like paladding shield do, because early game deffenders couldn't handle that. It might could be some technically negligable amounts of dmg. reduction with early game shields, but it could be quite decent with later game ones.

Actually, a good way of using up mana would be for pulse based attacks to damage and repel enemies

when I saw 'defender' I thought you meant multiplayer items like the paladin's shield that reduce damage to teammates
