Poetry New Moon

Tsuki

Party Girl
Figured that since we have this neat, spiffy new section, that I'd go ahead and post what is probably my single favorite poem of all time. (Though slightly modified since it's an old poem and I don't really like certain parts.) The original version of it was made probably over 7 years ago.

Also, I'll probably be cross-posting all of my poems from other forums over here too, (though not all in their own separate threads, of course.)

New Moon

I promise you
That I am true
I try for you and vie for you
I'll scan the endless sky for you
Looking for my nearby moon
and when night turns from black to blue
I think you're gone and pine for you
but you're always right there too
I'm standing side by side with you
You don't leave, you never do
But I'd do anything for you
I'd tell a little lie or two
I've always kept my eye on you
and as we grew
it became true
that I would even die for you
but who knew?
You love me too
I longed to kiss you, and anew
Beneath the twilight, before the dew
But yet dawn comes, and that's the cue
for you to return to the moon
and even though I bid adieu
just know my heart belongs to you

Alright, that's actually a really nice, and well paced out and fluent too, poem you have there. Neat job.

If this was published to the whole world, this'd be topping them all. Great work.
(Yes, even that old version you were talking about.)

That's actually quite amazing!
It's good enough to be a song, pretty much...
