Sprites New NPC clothes for Halloween and Christmas

NPCs will be in scary costumes for Halloween, and and dressed in warm clothes for Christmas

This would go great with my idea of the thematic change grass and leaves in this suggestion:

Sprites - Changing textures depending on the season

Good idea, for a special seed. I wouldn't want to have to play in the summer to have my green grass and leaves, though, so I wouldn't like it as a forced change. There could probably be a toggle in the Settings for "Seasons"

If you’re too lazy to come up with ideas yourself, create a competition for the community, it would be interesting

P.S. this only applies to the regular version of NPCs (not the shimmer)

I think that pre-shimmer, it would be good, but now that we have shimmer variants of NPCs (and especially because we're getting the Shimmer Water Gun for easy conversion), we don't really need more alternate costumes. Not that the idea is bad, but at this point in the game's development, it'll just be pushed aside by the Shimmer variants.

Also, you shouldn't bump a thread unless you're adding something substantial to it.

Perhaps it could be simple. Similar to how they gain party hats during parties, they could gain masks of random enemies during Halloween, and beanies/snow caps during Christmas?

I understand that with shimmer, theoretically, you need to draw 4 new sprites for each NPC, so I ask that the non-shimmer versions change depending on the time of year, so that you only have to draw 2

Honestly forgot to say something here-
I feel like with the shimmered variants it could just be reserved for Terraria 2 but it's a really cute idea
For Halloween imagine like a zombie Guide, a Tim Stylist (since they're both found in the Cavern layer), a unicorn Party Girl or an Ogre Tavernkeep

Edit: .. Could the Tavernkeep return in Terraria 2? But you get the idea
