I would like to see a Grand Design-type tool for painting, i.e. a combination of all three painting tools with right-click to change modes and swap paint.

The grand design was apparently a nightmare to code, so unfortunately I don't think this will be feasible.

This is indeed a common suggestion. In the future, you should search for what you're going to post, to make sure it hasn't been said before. Something like this came up just a day or so ago, in fact.
