PS4 New Player Help

Hello, I bought terraria the other day from the suggestions under the ps store because I own stardew valley( never heard of terraria before) and quickly became hooked. Its like Minecraft for older folk which is awesome cause Minecraft looks like a dire straits video, anyways.. I really don't know what I should be doing, I have a pretty decent house and currently spend most time in the dungeon. I don't know if technically I should be there gear wise or what not I'm trying to see if the game has like a story to it or you just go do whatever? I need noon help I guess
 
There's not a story, per se, but you just travel through the world building, fighting and collecting. What system are you on?

Hi @Bigurn, welcome to the forums, and also to Terraria. It's always cool to see new people get into the game.

If you haven't already, check out the wiki for lots of great info. Here is a beginner's guide (although you may be passed most of it): http://terraria.wiki.gg/Guide:Getting_started

But really, Terraria is about exploration and playing it however you'd like, so feel free to deviate from any guide you see. :)

One thing to remember when you are looking at the wiki is that the console versions are at version 1.2.4, while the PC version is at 1.3.5. So you may see some items/enemies/bosses on the wiki that are not on console yet. If you're on a detailed page, you can scroll down to the bottom to see the History info. If it's been introduced in 1.3 or after, your PS4 doesn't have it yet. Here's an example: http://terraria.wiki.gg/Money_Trough (scroll to the bottom, and you'll see that the Money Trough was introduced in 1.3.

But good news for PS4 and Xbox One players is that the big 1.3 update is targeted to come out before July. Here is more info:
