GIRGHGH
Empress of Light
The hydra can aim, the cloud and wall can't.I'm kinda confused now. Some staves that do one thing are summoner weapons and other staves that do almost the same thing aren't summoner weapons.

I just checked the wiki and the cloud isn't a summoner weapon. BUT the Lunar Portal Staff and the Rainbow Crystal Staff are.
Good point. The hydra can aim, the cloud and wall can't.
They do aim... they aim towards the ground...
Unlike the magnet sphere which disappeares after a few seconds.Still, it is a stationary summon that lasts a reasonable amount of time.
You summon a cloud that just sits there, can be summoned anywhere, continues to do damage with the user not having to deploy it again for at least a minute... yet sounds like a summon to me.
I really like the monstrous summons idea!
A few ideas for monstrous staffs:
Ogre Staff
31 Summon Damage
4% Critical chance
Insane Knockback
4 Mana per second
Summons a ogre that swings a large club at enemies
Dropped from the goblin invasion
Arachnid Staff
47 Summon Damage
7% Critical chance
9 Mana per second
Weak Knockback
Summons a massive tarantula that climbs on back walls and inflicts venom.
Crafting:
Twilight Draconis Staff
74 Summon Damage
4% Critical chance
11 Mana per second
Weak Knockback
Summons a massive winged dragon to breath shadowflames on your enemies, inflicts the Shadowflame debuff.
Edit: Maybe monstrous summons could attack where the players cursor is?
