I checked with tedit after getting tired of searching for two hours.

Make a backup of your would before doing anything, but yeah just import a few in tEdit.
Be sure not to overwrite anything important, like chests and such.

How old is the world? If I remember correctly, beehives weren't in the original version of Terraria. And when they were added, there was a chance they would generate 0 hives.

Instead of modifying your current world, you could get the required blocks and Honey liquid from a new world, if you wanted to? You can also get the materials in another world to craft an Abeemination and use it to summon Queen Bee in your current world. Then you can still get the Witch Doctor.
