I found this fun sounding challenge (from a long time ago) that i'll just link here if anyone wants to try it!

I just started the challenge. I'm noticing a lot of little things that can be used as light sources: Torches from smashed pots but not picked up (doesn't count as 'placed' heeee). Heart refills dropped from enemies give slight illumination. Fallen stars. The scary ore.
seeing lots of jellyfish is absolute heaven in a no placement run :3
