id like it if we just got to sit by pressing S on our keyboard. its so annoying we cant sit any time.
well if they can create a game then they can do this. While it would be a nice touch, the problem with this suggestion is that every single armour set in the game would need an additional sprite to accommodate this. It's extremely unlikely that it would be worth the time and effort.
It's not a matter of being able to, it's a matter of it being worth the time and effort. All time spent on making sitting animations is time that can't be spent on something arguably more functional. And seeing how there are currently 160 leg sprites in the game files, that would mean 160 new frames to draw and test, which translates to a lot of time.well if they can create a game then they can do this.
Could they manipulate the way the sprites appear? While it would be a nice touch, the problem with this suggestion is that every single armour set in the game would need an additional sprite to accommodate this. It's extremely unlikely that it would be worth the time and effort.
They could, but I don't think the results would be pretty. You could theoretically rotate the legs 90 degrees, but that would disembody them from the torso, which doesn't exactly look good. And even if they did find one way that looked half-decent, the odds of it looking good for all 160 sprites (and any future ones) is virtually none, so they'd have to tailor to every single sprite individually, causing the exact same problem you were trying to avoid by doing so.Could they manipulate the way the sprites appear?
What about a loophole then? Make it so in a poof of smoke the player reverts to their normal unarmored appearance while sitting in a chair, or maybe some kind of swimsuit if they're in an ocean biome. They could, but I don't think the results would be pretty. Like animating leaves? Or coloring map borders? They have better things to do than that.
