Obsidian shield VS Shield Of Cthulhu

Hey! With the accessories I have, which shield is better for Pre-hardmode Expert mode? Obsidian shield or Shield of Cthulu? THX

You can use both but I suggest using the cthulhu shield

Shield of Cthulhu is one of the best accessories in the game until you get to upgrade it in the HM dungeon, and obsidian shield is mediocre at best. Use shield of cthulhu.

It's an indirect upgrade, you get a better dash accessory later in the game called the tabi, which can be upgraded into master ninja gear.

Shield of Cthulhu basically should always be equipped until you either wear Crystal Assassin armor or obtain the Tabi.
