Single Thread RP Ortharen

Work tomorrow 10-2 (EST)

My cousin's over so I don't think I can play

Thoughts on this?
What this is supposed to fix hasn't been a problem for this group yet, i don't think. But i'm not sure that won't change if y'all ever have a chance to do what this guy is mad about.

Is everyone ready?

Is everyone ready?

I'm afraid I'm in a call for a few hours :(

If you have time after that i'll still be here.

In the interest of ever getting anywhere with this game, let's stop doing sessions and just have it on all the time.

Last time, Jeremy saw some goblins in the woods and threw a fireball at them. Y'all fought the goblins and won. A couple hours later after a short rest more showed up, but Jeremy talked them down. Jeremy has just followed the goblins toward a door leading into a hill.

@IThinkQueenSlimeIsBad, you can add 2% to your goblin language skill for successfully defusing that situation a few minutes ago.

What would you all like to do?

I would like to go through the door

Alright. I'd like to give the others a chance to catch up or act before that happens.

@Vella @KasMage the thread is changing.

This isn't immediately relevant to the quest at hand, but i do need to tell you three that this story probably cannot be canon. That's mostly on me for picking D&D, a system that really doesn't fit the setting of Ortharen, and for not being clearer about that. Magic, dragon language, currency, player races, there's just a whole lot that doesn't work. So i'm thinking after these characters' story is wrapped up we leave it because the more these characters do, the more the world will break.

I don't want to just retcon the entire campaign, so i was thinking that maybe it's all fictional relative to the fictional world. Like a play that's performed in Ortharen. I'm open to other suggestions.

I am working on a rules system that will work in Ortharen, but that sort of thing takes a long time. Until then i'll probably use an existing system that's easier to adapt than D&D or just make it roleplay focused without so many rules.

I'm not canceling the rest of the game. I'll stick with it and keep using D&D 5E rules, but the game won't last forever without some serious mechanical changes.

Good to know

(sorry ive been heavily inactive. I didnt expect the move to college to interfere with my free time this much)

Sal'kari also goes through the door, albeit taking it slow and easy.
Haste is a slayer of a fool.

Then they'd check over to see who needs healing.
(Unless everyone has been healed off-session)

This thread is kind of obsolete since i moved this stuff to my website. And people sometimes ask me lore questions in the other Ortharen thread instead of here. So i think it makes sense to merge this thread into that one, to better organize the subject into one thread since it doesn't really need more.
