Wavebank Party Hardy Soundtrack

Is there a chance you could update this for 1.3.3?
Kept you waiting, huh?

It's come and gone once before, and now it's back to light up your eyes for a mere second before sputtering away into whimpers and embers like the cruddiest fireworks show to ever grace your eyes. Let's pull ourselves together for a round of applause for the newly envisioned and brought back together (also aptly renamed):

The Party Hardy Smarty Tardy EX. Deluxe Turbo Drive Experience Soundtrack
Give or take some words. I'd bow, but I can't without smacking my face into the keyboard, and I need this real quick to chat along and make everyone know that I didn't just up and die all the sudden so they don't have to buy expensive black dresses and suits for the funeral that's two to three years late or so. But, you're not here to mourn or kill me (if you are, at least give me until I finish this so I can accept it with open arms for very understandable reasons) but moreso to listen to a soundtrack that's to catch your ears, so let's kick to it right quick:

For the newcomers abroad
(this should be where you read if you don't care about that stuff up above), I'm a guy with an infatuation for the purple prose and a pet project of a wave bank that's been off and on. What was originally nothing but inside jokes among friends while we played Terraria eventually fleshed itself into an experience of its own that I did my best to craft personally for the upmost enjoyment of my own tastes - and hopefully yours if they catch your eye.

Here's a little one-two on the summation: retrofitted with miscellaneous tracks rather than ones that pertain to a specific game or genre itself, the soundtrack follows along with a tone that's mellow to the core and easy on the ears while still holding strong enough identity to the characteristics of the locale itself. A keyword here would be "aesthetic" in a sense, and if you need a comparison to latch onto, I'm a big sucker for the dronings of ambiance and other such, so just think of something like Silent Hill and you'll get a good image enough. If that sounds like its up your alley or you maybe might want something a little bit experimental, then let's get right into the meat of things.

Didn't scare you off or disappoint you about the fact that there is no meat? Fantastic stuff. Down below is all the tracks corresponding to their appropriate biome/location. You'll probably notice that some tracks aren't one to link to Youtube or anything else. Don't panic, it's simply me just being a special snowflake and having to like OSTs that aren't so much properly situated on Youtube much. In any case, it'll be hosted off of Dropbox or whatever's most convenient if it can't be found on Youtube. In case you didn't notice, there's actually a difference between this new version and the old one - the old tracks are actually listed off to the side with or without a corresponding track-list function itself so you can hear how far along the soundtrack itself has come for demo purposes. If it doesn't have one to the side, then that means I loved the song enough to keep it as is or it's new. If it doesn't have a link or the link is screwed up, I'll take the blame for that entirely.

My realm of a perfect Wave Bank is constantly changing as my tastes are a fickle creature for me to tame and ride off into the sunset with. More often than not, this might be the way that it stays - with minor adjustments here and there potentially (provided I don't leave you off for a few years yet again - this time'll be different, I assure you).

If you're finding that eyebrow to be raised from intrigue or if the sound gracing your ears covers your musical grounds more than enough, give this wavebank a shot and hopefully keep it that way with your love and adoration for it.

If you don't know how to install it or anything, I've written a pretty bomb tutorial back in the day that might be of service. It's a simple matter - no pressure:
1. Download the sewage dump above me in blue that currently isn't being spoiled
2. Go over to your Content folder inside the Terraria file that resides in your Steam locale (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Terraria\Content is something akin to where you'd find it)
3. You should see a Wave Bank.xwb in there as well. Copy it and paste it somewhere else that you'll remember it, just in case you ever want to try and put it back to forget the sin you just commited.
3b. You can also allow a "Verify Integrity of Game Cache" if you need to if you'd rather save up on space; please be aware that if you try to use this method on a modded variant of Terraria, I am contractually obligated to inform Blushie over telephone so that they can take efforts to ensure nobody can find your body and follow your example ever again. Don't ask me what they do, I don't know what it is but every time someone asks, I burst into tears for some reason.
4. Drag and drop my labyrinth of procrastinated efforts and horrid decisions into the folder. When it asks to override Re-Logic's hard work, grab a tissue and apply it to your crying eye as you choke back a hiccup with the press of the Yes key
5. Close the window, go over to Steam, start up Terraria, and realize ears are the only other orifice on your body that can obtain orgasms.

That's that, then. On the flipside, gotta say that I am ridiculously sorry for taking as long as I did with this nonsense. Going to be honest and say that I forgot about the wave bank entirely for most of the days, and some people - even outside the forums - liked it enough to where I had to give an update and make them happy campers. It's an entirely different ballpark nowadays with it's musical selection but hopefully I do justice to people who enjoyed the original more than enough. Give me a few and I might throw together a "Nostalgia Pack" for people if they'd prefer to play with the vanilla experience and see just how wild that take of this deal was. Or, you can take inspiration yourself to put those tracks that you liked that didn't quite make the cut in your own deal, which I'd be perfectly fine with! I'd love to see if people get a bit of a push in their own merits from my own, so knock yourself out! Or, you know, nag at a guy making custom wave banks or me enough to where we comply - whatever floats the boat.

The tracks themselves are not perfect in terms of looping and quite honestly, it was a jerry-built/jury-rigged butchering together for some tracks and others. I'll do my best to learn better in Audacity or so to make things seamless potentially - that's the big call to attention, but I've just not the manhandling for it whatsoever. It's not as big an issue as I'm making it out to be, I'm simply pessimistic about one or two tracks having that sort of deal about them, but comments along these lines of helping along or just general stuff along the scope of asking about stuff relating to the bank is always appreciated, and I'll be on top of the case or slinking along in the shadows to gleefully pat myself on the back that I got a reply and all. It's up to the situation and how it calls for it, but I usually always bite at a chance to talk like a dork about this nonsense!

Catching off of that, here's a disclaimer that's basically telling everyone that I don't own jack smack from any of these things that I utilized, and if anything, I'm just a massive nerd splicing stuff together for the enjoyment of both his and others games. I, in no way, want to monetize or profit off of this thing, as it was just a fun little project that I happened to get on-board after some friends told me about it and we made awful awful things that should never see the light of day. Splitting off into serious territory, this sort of talk relates well enough into the comment made earlier in the spoiled territory: if enough trouble is caused over me including a track from Koronba then I'll up and find another track to replace it without much problem or none the fuss. It's more respectful if anything for it's inclusion, is all.

That's all. Alright, have a fun time with my wave bank, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!

Jokes aside, this wavebank is actually pretty good, well done. :)
Also I don't think a lot of people really know shin megami tensei around here but whatever.

Gonna give you a heads up and tell you that Persona was out of the question after how ridiculously horrible Mass Destruction being set as Boss 1 happened to be. Let me tell you that you've never lived until you've heard the intro to that song as a gigantic skeleton head erupts out of a withering old man's body.

Ridiculous answer aside, thanks for the positive comment, buddy. In all seriousness, some Shin Megami tracks were being played around with, the Town Battle and regular battle themes from Nocturne especially considering I dig those tracks with all of my heart. Problem was, I couldn't really find a special place for both of those pieces - as sad as it is to hear - that would make it in line with the other pieces in general.

Moreso or less, I used Middens as a way to catch players off by surprise, considering barely anyone's played the game in general, but also to really carry the original themes of the areas in a more direct/relaxed way, depending on the original intent and/or atmosphere. I mainly fooled around with a lot of RPGmaker games that carried somber soundtracks with them to really get the best feel I could, as well as just personal flavors that I could apply to others just for the sake of having them there. Originally, the Hallow's theme, for the longest while, was the Red Room theme from Stray Cat Crossing, looped for a bit. It was really hard pinpointing what I wanted to do with that freaking biome. And honestly, it's a shame that, from some tracks, you can see where I simply just said, "Screw it, this goes here, I would say," and just have that stay on that. A lot of things went through revisions before I really got a feel for the wavebank in general.

It's funny, considering the original variant of the wavebank was actually mostly Kirby songs. I ended up just getting more serious once I got the main menu theme from Iji in there.

I know how you feel about mass destruction, but there's plenty of other purse owner and shin megami tensei tracks to use. :V
Maybe Digital Devil Saga? Or Devil Survivor, or SMT IV...
Of course, idk which ones you played, so :u
Baby baby baby baby baby...

I'm a solid supporter of all the SMT's, with those obvious exceptions here and there. Choosing the tracks is a little more fickle than that, though, considering picky is my middle name for these circumstances. Usually whenever I made these tracks, I tried to have them go hand in hand with theme as well as push towards what the original was all about. You can go over what the latter's all about in that message I sent to you like back in the 15's, but as for the former, you can kind of pin-point where I mainly tried to use something that really connected the area together with another piece of itself, the most prominent example being Neighborhood Watch with Pale Yellow Sun. For everything else, I pushed towards a common aesthetic that the areas could diversity themselves off of without too much a harsh push towards something else unless in dire circumstances. Terraria was a game that focused on prominent sounds with cliche carrying its weight in the best of ways, and I find it amazing that the team managed to pull off what they did with the game's soundtrack when it sounds a bit childish in some manners.

Terraria usually had specific arrangement of notes to carry forth a semblance of OST, for that smooth effect, but that's where misc. wave banks get into a little trouble, because they have to make sure they don't throw their person all over the place for the sake of the maker's tastes over what doesn't make the player's ears bleed. At the beginning, I settled for Kirby stuff, but it shifted off to something more abstract and blase, that mostly ventured off into the RPG Maker territory.

Honestly, though, it's cheating to a high degree, since this entire wave bank is mostly me showcasing my intense love for Middens and how balls-off-the-walls it is. But, I'm getting back in the groove of this, which does mean that this baby is gonna get updated soon with some better tracks.

Downloading it just for these. This is great.

Thanks! I told myself to give you guys who send a simple download comment that I would be a total creep and nod at you silently from the shadows, but I'm glad that my wave banks getting some form of attention.

I'm planning on actually putting more examples from OneShot's OST into the wavebank, since I actually was able to buy the OST and all of its contents. There's a whole lot that isn't covered by the Youtube videos, and they're all amazing tracks in their own right. If you enjoy the songs, definitely give the creator some dosh. Guy practically deserves it.

Holy crap... spooky'shouseofjumpscaresmusicisdabestthankyousomuchdownloadingnow.

You're preaching to the choir here, buddy. Funnily enough, though, that game only came to my attention because Warm Hands And a Gentle Stab was in a custom OST playlist for a modded Fallout New Vegas playthrough I was enjoying. Satisfaction is barely even the right word to describe how good it was to hear that song, so I gave the game it came from a shot, and loved it immensely, on top of the DLC for it that just recently came out.

It's a good thing, too, since it was the perfect song to listen to in the context of rain in general. Before that song even came to mind, this was the song that was being considered for rain.
The song was perfect in its own right, but it didn't hit the right chords with the other songs that were coming around really well, and it sounded too harsh for a moment like a rainy night/day, so coming across Spooky's House was quite literally a blessing in its own right. I'm glad you've enjoyed the wave bank, though!

Replies out of the way, there's an update that's steadily coming around for this monstrosity that'll take a few. I've been busy as all get all, but now that I've some free time, it's good to just fool around and make some people happy.

Expect it to come whenever. I've made pretty impressive progress, but life has a habit of making sure things don't exactly turn up your way. Look for it on the weekends or something along those lines.

With that update fresh on your minds, as well, let me dismiss those shivers and tell you guys that if I DO happen to change a song that you find your heart broken about, before lord almighty, you simply cannot live without it, I'll be willing to make you a special version of the whole thing with that song included. Considering I'm not planning on deleting the songs that had already existed in the previous wave bank, it'll be a simple process that shouldn't take all too long. You can include some custom stuff alongside it, if you're feeling frisky, as well.

Anyway, this freakin' wall of text would make Trump blush. Expect the updated version to get up and available around this weekend. And don't fret about the previous version. It'll stay up on the OP. I'll just make some magick to point to the updated post later on in the thread, if I can.

Is there a chance you could update this for 1.3.3?

Right, so here's the part where anyone wanting my demise at their hands is available to do so. I await it.

[....]Expect the updated version to get up and available around this weekend.

Hahahaha, good lord. By the way, let a mod message me if bumping this thread is a problem. I can do a new one lickity-split if bringing this back up to speed is any issue at all.
