PC: Last Prism vs. Lunar Flare

Last Prism:
Pros: Does tons of damage spread out until it focuses. Great for large groups. Highest DPS of any magic weapon un-modded. Piercing.
Cons: Drains mana faster than any other magic weapon. Most can only hold it for 4-5 seconds.
Lunar Flare:
Pros: does good damage and passes through blocks on its way to the cursor. Fires from off screen above. Explodes.
Cons:Has a relatively low fire speed. Can't turn until it hits your cursor.

I use last prism btw

In my opinion, Last Prism for basically anything that happens on the surface, and Lunar Flare for when going underground.

I also find last prism helpful in frost/pumpkin moon due to all the Mana stars dropped by enimies, that way you don't have to worry about Mana guzzling that much

Last prison for sure........... but the lunar flare can also go through tiles above your cursor lunar flare for sure .........XD Can’t make up my mind which is better

I say Lunar Flare, it's more useful for fighting bosses.

Last Prism shreds through anything, and it's con is completely destroyed by mana flower. Don't use the FANDOM btw

Yeah the mana flower is pretty helpful but using mana potions makes your damage go down, which kinda defeats the purpose of using the last prism in the first place

Still, the DPS of the Last Prism even after a mana flower debuff can still just wreck most things, other than just using it for about 4 seconds. You get a lot more out of it this way.

Last Prisms are the best weapon in terms of DPS, but it involves grinding for too many Moon Lords and Lunar Events (unless you have Fargo's Mod) for rare stuff like this.
Lunar Flames are a good mage weapon dropped from the Lord, but it fires teal projectiles from heavens that explode after hitting the cursor
