Explosives usually fall through platforms, anyway. I guess that's the dev's way of "proofing" them.
In every other sense this is kind of just redundant.

What if I want to kill a boss with the placeable explosives for fun, though? Placing chests explosion proofs the platforms, sure, but it also kinda prevents that because you can’t place chests and explosives in the same place
