Items Permanency to flower seed placement

A significant portion of the world's beauty is lost early in a playthrough when flowers are destroyed; it is very difficult to avoid destroying plants, whether they be the originals generated into the world or those planted by the player, and no solutions currently exist ingame to maintain flower plantations. One potential approach to this problem would be to have the flower seed items (potentially also worldgen placements) permanently mark the grass they are planted on, so that when broken, they will eventually regrow into the prior planted flower rather than tall grass as is default.

This concept of course has its complexities, eg natural generation of mushrooms potentially replacing displaced flowers and whether that would be a preferable complication to maintaining flower growth. I could suggest, in addition to the original suggestion, prevention of mushroom growth on grass marked by flower seed placements, while placing a Tall Grass seed or breaking the grass tile (reverting to dirt through any method or conversion to an evil biome) reverts the grass tile beneath to a default state to allow growth of mushrooms and other similar growths.
