It is a shame that so many cool weapons are so quickly outclassed by pillar stuff

That is brutally wrong. Items like the witches broom, the stake launcher, pumpkin launcher, and the horsemen's blade (part of the zenith and an amazing weapon) drop from pumpking. Ice queen drops the North Pole, another powerful mage item. Martian saucer drops Xenopopper, cosmic car key, and the influx waver; all very powerful items in their respective runs. Although I disagree with you, I do see your point on the Ice Queen. It doesnt drop as many items as the others and it isn't as I personally as well as most people I talk to about terraria just go from players to golem to cultists skipping all of the optional events because honestly the weapons from golem are easily powerful enough for cultist and the pillers making the optimal events and bosses pretty much just filler content that can be skipped without consequence. Also moat people don't actually continue there worlds after moonlord except for one main world sometimes

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I don't rush Golem after beating Plantera, nor do I rush Cultist after beating Golem. I like to slow down and take the time to do more in the game. I go to the Dungeon after beating Plantera, and I do Empress, Fishron, and the events after Golem, and only after I've done all that do I continue on to Cultist and the Lunar Events. They're parts of the game that I enjoy, and I never skip them. I typically have at least one item from those optional things in my loadouts for Moon Lord. Influx Waver, Witch's Broom, Razorpine, Razorblade Typhoon, Eventide, Tsunami, Xeno Staff, Starlight, Blizzard Staff... all great weapons I like to use. Duke Fishron and Empress are harder than the Cultist and the Pillars, but they drop gear that contends with the other endgame stuff. Razorblade Typhoon and Eventide in particular are extremely strong and useful, and then you have stuff like Terraprisma and Shrimpy Truffle. Not everything should be part of progression. Optional side content makes the game more interesting.

all of this would be fixed if empress was part of progression. becouse then you will have a chance to use those weapons against her and after that you will progress to pillar weapons.

Nope. A good amount of people fight Empress because of great drops like the Eventide and Nightglow, not to mention most summoner playthroughs go for the Kaleidescope. Another thing is that adding her into progression would get her items quickly replaced by the Pillars except the Kaleidescope and Terraprisma. Plus it's a fun challenge to do pre-Golem, especially the daytime version.

I am realy sad. I am sad becouse half of hardmode content is almost always skipped by most players. Pumpkin Moon, Frost Moon, Fishron, Empress, Martian Madness or Hardmode Dungeon. Most of those things are not even worth checking out most of the time. Many players will never see those cool sprites made for enemies and weapons present there. It makes my feel sick. There is no single reason to do empress of light currently. Becouse why would anybody do it red? You can kill cultist anyway and get more powerful weapons from pillars. I am so done with people that bully my empress with pillar weapons. It makes me feel angry. Pls make her part of progression. Make her a boss between golem and cultists. Let people feel her wrath. Dont let people tarnish her good name any longer by defeating her with super op weapons. This change would also encourage more people to try doing pumpkin moon and frost moon and martians. Think about it? Currently nobody cares about those events. Becouse why would you? Golem and Cultist are pushovers. Nobody treat them serious. And after that you get pillar weapons for free anyway. Think about pumpkin & frost moon and martians. There are many amazing weapons in those events that could be great against empress. It could work so well. Why couldnt you see it Red? Bat scepter from pumpking, razorpine from everscream, elf meter, chaingun from santank, blizzard staff, snowman cannon from ice queen, xenopopper, electrosphere launcher, influx waver from martian sauser. Do you remember those weapons Red? You created them. But nobody even cares about them anymore. All of those weapons would come back to life again if empress was part of progression. Please make this beautiful lady a mandatory boss (between golem and cultist) and make this game endgame better than ever.

No matter what you choose Red from now on whenever i play terraria, empress of light is part of progression for me at least. I will pretend to not see cultist that spawn in dungeon after i kill golem. And only after i defeat her i will attempt cultist fight. Thats all from me. Please consider my proposal. Deep in your heart you must see that this makes sense. Have a good day.​

A lot of people go for those items because of things like great single-target damage from the Razorpine and many other things. For example: the Witch's Broom, Xenopopper, Spooky Armor, Ectoplasm, Chain Gun, and likely a few I'm forgetting. Most of this suggestion sounds pretty exaggerated.

Frost Legion definitely needs an update too

the frost legion is a completely different even from the frost moon, the frost legion is a christamas exclusive event which basically is only there so you can obtain snow without having to mine it

Honestly I'd just like the Frost Legion to be moved to pre-Hardmode. There's no reason at all for it to be Hardmode, and there are very few invasions in pre-Hardmode anyway. Content-wise, it's fine as just a weird troll thing. Maybe a tommy gun would be nice but really it's not necessary.
